Chapter 101
Elise had a son. They couldn’t believe it.
As they all gawked in shock and confusion, Elise held onto the small boy who called her mom, his curious eyes going to Hayden, who smiled at him.
For the first time, breaking that hard. He had the exterior of a cold, wicked warrior looked down at Ethan, but his cold eyes returned as soon as he faced away from him.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
Ethan’s curious gaze went across everyone standing in front of him and locked specifically on Rygan, who hadn’t said a word since Ethan’s arrival.
He felt frozen in place as he gawked at the boy; something in him thrashed and made his
or utter jealousy that Elise had a body itch to get closer. He wondered if it was the shock family, but it was something more than what met the surface.
Something his blood recognized before he did.
“Who are they, Mom?”
“El, this is your—“

“No one is important, sweetie,” she said, cutting Rygan off. For a short moment, panic rushed into her gaze before she way from them. The seam of her black shimmery gown swept the room as she left, with no word or acknowledgment of the little circle. But she stood in her tracks, where she heard Rygan Channel speak to her.
“We still need to talk; I need to explain what happened and know what happened to you all this time.”
“You have made your choice, Rygan, so live with it,” she said before she exited the room.
Alvira and Kaide finally felt like they could breathe, while Taz still looked perplexed and shocked at the outcome with Elise; their alpha had still not moved an inch, watching her frame until she was out of the room.
“How did we not find her? How is this possible?” Taz muttered in bafflement. It felt like the Elise they knew was gone; the Elise they knew wouldn’t have ripped off a man’s arm without even blinking or hurling her guts out. But now that old Elise was gone.
It wasn’t long until they were taken into the Moon City compound; they were all given rooms hall. to rest before dinner would be served in the great
Rygan had been quiet since the encounter with Elise; even after being led to the room, he still couldn’t imagine that this was reality, hoping anyone would wake him up from this nightmare where Elise wasn’t with him.
Those eyes she stared at him with were filled with resentment, which made his stomach churn. He needed to cool down, so he took off his clothes and ran under the cool shower, but not until he heard footsteps approaching.
“Can you believe that b***h? She comes in acting high and mighty after hiding away for three years; I knew she planned it all,” Alvira muttered as she entered the room.
“She has a child, a son,” Rygan finally said. Alvira froze from Rygan’s words but tried to distract him; she let the towel on her body fall as she walked into the shower.
“Don’t think about it, because that child will be for Kyren or her mate Hayden,” she muttered, perching a kiss on Rygan’s shoulder. “Can’t you see she played us all from the beginning? I cannot believe this, that b***itch.”
Rygan whirled around, peering down at Alvira’s frame with dark eyes. She wasn’t expecting him to blow up like this. “** the fucking hell up, Alvira!” he muttered, his hands gripping her shoulders and shaking them until her whole body wobbled.
Her lips quivered, and her eyes were filled with fear from Rygan’s outburst. For years, he had not lashed out; instead, it was that silent, brooding anger that scared all their enemies big enough for him to be so angry.
“Tell me what you and Kaide did; there had to be a reason for all this. I know you both are lying to me, and this will be your last chance,” he snarled as his eyes flared red with that beastly power.
Alvira trembled under his gaze and judgment as she shook her head. “I don’t know what you’re talking about; let me go, Rygan; you’re hurting me!” she shouted, using that as a pity tool, and it worked perfectly with Rygan’s hold on her shoulder loosening.
She got out of the shower, immediately reached for her robe, and ran out of the room in a panic. She went to her room with a shred door between hers and Rygan, and with shaky hands, she wore her clothes back.
Her seduction and lies did not work; she only panicked and feared for her future if Elise decided to tell the truth.
She put on her dress, her hair damp, and her body still trembling, but stopped when she heard a knock on the door. With quick steps, she headed to it, opening it to see Kaide.
“We need to talk,” he said shortly. Her eyes widened in panic; she dragged him away fr her chambers, but when Rygan was next door, she could hear everything.
She took him outside the compounds to the large maze garden by the walls, looking around. before she let go of his hands. “Are you crazy? You know Rygan is up here, and one more mistake will turn our heads.”
“I don’t think we will survive this summit if we don’t do something about Elise,” Kaide said.
“One word from her could ruin us, Kaide. I don’t want to die; I am terrified of Rygan; you should have seen him,” she said, shuddering from the memories from earlier. She slid her robe from her shoulder to show the bruises to Kaide.
His face scrunched up in annoyance and anger as his hands traced her skin. “He did that to you? I told you there was no reason to still have feelings for him; I will protect you and our little girl,” he said.
Alvira’s face contorted from confusion to disgust. “You’d think I would leave this life as Luna of the Blackmoon pack to run away and become a rogue wolf, all because you have feelings? You slept with your cousin. Get over it.”
You begged me, and you wanted it; all our lives we’ve only had each other; even the day you pushed Alana down to her death, I was the one.”
Smack! She landed a hit to Kaide’s face; his cheeks brushed from her assault, but he brushed it off. With only her in his face.
“Don’t call her that!”
“What? To know that you were the one who made Alana fall to her death, blamed it on. humans, covered it all up for you, and lied to my alpha for you,” he said bitterly.
“Shut up, shut up, shut up!” she snarled. Her fingers gushed into her scalp in mad rage as she cried out. She held Kaide’s hand, eyes wide and shaky with desperateness.
“Alvira..”
“You cannot tell him; you can’t! My life will be ruined; please, Kaide, do it for me; keep this secret,” she begged.
Kaide squeezed her hands, agreeing to her request of not telling her to hold onto all the secrets they’ve kept through the years; they were a family after all.
But little did they know that someone had been listening all along. They heard an amused chuckle.
“Now that’s a secret you should be saying out loud. They both stiffened from shock, and they turned to see that they were the only ones that occupied the garden, but Elise was there.
“E-el-Elise,” Alvira stuttered; she could barely make a word out as she walked backward, her hands trembling. Kaide had no idea what to do, especially knowing they couldn’t make a scene in the Moon City.
“Not only are you sleeping with your cousin, but your daughter has to suffer from your crimes too,” she muttered with an amused curl to her lips, her eyes glistening with delight. Elise was enjoying this, enjoying their torment.
“What are you talking about? We never said anything.”
“Alvira stop..” Kaide muttered that he knew she was hot, but right now they were dealing with her, and he wasn’t sure how much she had heard. He came forward to Elise’s front with a pleading gaze, the same one he had tried to use to fill her before.
“El, please, you don’t understand.” She didn’t let him finish, landing a painful punch to his jaw, one that drew blood to his throbbing lips.
“Oh, I do… But what are you going to do about it? Are you going to attack me like you did when I learned about your secret three years ago? How would Rygan feel when he learns that girl isn’t his?”
“Stop! Stop, please!” Alvira began to beg, her palms clasping together as hot tears began to spill, “Please, please, I was wrong; we were wrong! Don’t ruin me!”
She tugged on Elise’s dress. Elise pushed her hands off and cleaned the spot where Alvira’s hand had laid, like it was stained dirt.
Then Elise did something that shocked both of them; she began to laugh-a blood-curdling laughter that made Alvira’s knees wobble in terror until her legs hit the ground.
“Lucky for you, I don’t feel like destroying you right now, only if you’d behave yourselves like good little pups…. I better continue looking for my lovely son, who loves to explore, so you both should have fun.” She called with a short wave.
Alvira bit her lips to let out a scream; she didn’t care how crazy she looked as Kaide bent down to hold her, and she began punching his chest. “We are going to be dead if we don’t shut her up! It’s over for us!” She cried with each punch.
Elise was playing them like a chessboard; she had the upper hand in everything. The burning anxiety made Alvira feel like she was running mad, but only if she knew how much her life was about to be ruined.
