Chapter 100

The whole room was still clouded in utter tension from the chaos that ensued the moment Elise made her appearance and ripped Dexton’s arm out; they knew then she was a force to reckon with.

Yet to their surprise, she asked for leniency for the humans, just until they had a talk with their leaders and maybe came to a treaty with them to never attack the wolf packs ever again, especially since it was a ploy and partnership likely set by her ex-father Beta De on.

There were still questions as to how the humans found out about the pack since they had been hidden for so long; something still didn’t add up.

But with the decision tallied three to three on each pack’s vote, there was still no verdict on the outcome of their choice..

Silence only spoke from the Black Moon pack, who had been mute with astonishment ever since Elise arrived. Only after the agreement for a trial did the summit get postponed. With the moon city being a day’s journey from all their respective packs, rooms were prepared in the compound for all the packs to stay.

Camille left first with the Goldcrest leader, leaving the three packs remaining in the room. “You look lovely as ever,” Kyren muttered first.

But this time it was Hayden who replied with an unamused snarl, which made the dark knight leave with a bow, a dark smirk, and a promise to Elise that his time with her wasn’t over before he left the room.NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

This time it was only the Black Moon and Calhan pack that remained, and as Elise took her mate’s hands to leave, she heard a voice. “Elise, wait, please.” She finally heard Rygan’s voice, remained, and as Elise took her his tone filled with pain and longing.

For a second she felt something in her tug on her heartstrings, begging her to hear him out. But forgiveness was far from her plans.

“Elise-Luna, please; we need to talk to you. With all this hope, we had no idea you were still alive, so please.” Taz pleaded this time, making his way forward, but was stopped when Jax and Michale, her two trusted betas, blocked him from getting any closer with a snarl.

She knew this was about to get more heated; she could feel Rygan’s burning stare into her skull. Elise then sent a message through her and Hayden’s bond, with him giving a slight nod in agreeme before she walked forward toward the

group.

Fine, you want to talk; let’s talk, or is it better now to talk while I’m not in chains and locked up? Do you feel justified? And relieved that I didn’t die?” She called with a cold venom that stunned by how harsh she was. Her smile was as cold as it was elegant, and her beauty was still as magnificent as ever.

“No, no, Rygan had not been the same; he mourned for you.”

“So I should thank him for that?” She called blankly, yet her words struck deep than a knife to his heart. It took everything in Rygan not to risk it all to touch her; he didn’t care about Hayden and, in fact, wanted to rip him to shreds for being so lucky.

“Elise, we had no idea; I thought you were dead all this time; I never thought I’d see you again,” he said to her. But Elise had stepped forward before he completed his sentence, her hands landing a painful strike on Rygan’s face, leaving his jaw throbbing as alvira letting out at loud gasp.

Yet Elise didn’t show any form of emotion on her face as she let out dark chuckle. “Really? Because it seems like you were all happy to get rid of us and wanted me dead,” she called coldly, her gaze moving to Alvira, whose hands were folded in a ball of mortification and fear as she subtly hid behind Rygan.

She looked to Kaide, who was sweating buckets and had once met her gaze. A sly smirk. showed on her face from their cowardice; they were both terrified that she’d say something right now.

The guilt on their faces was evident as Kaide swallowed down a silent gulp, but Rygan, on the other hand, was frozen and hurt and shocked by her words and actions.

“Elise, I know I let you down; I know I did not protect you.”

“So you do know that you didn’t protect me!” She quipped in fake amazement and a fake chuckle, but the eyes held bitter pain and resentment toward the Black Moon pack’s alpha. and his friends, the people who tormented her under his watch.

“Please, Elise, let us at least talk it out,” Taz begged.

“I have nothing to talk to you about, not when there are snakes that want me dead in your circle; those monsters left me for dead, and you both watched. This time she took a look at Alvira, who wasn’t at all subtle with her fear.

This behavior Rygan noticed quickly; normally she would talk back, so why was she so frightened by Elise? Alvira could barely breathe now as she tugged on Rygan. “I don’t feel so good; you think we should leave,” she pleaded.

Elise wondered if she’d let the game play on and let them feel the guilt eat them up alive before the wanted tre revenge on them, including the man who broke her heart.

“So this is the mighty alpha of the Black Moon pack Hayden’s voice bellowed through the room as he came forward too, his hands taking a place at the small of her back, a gesture that Hasden noticed.

“You’re right, these vermin do not deserve your pity after all, he muttered with a kiss on

Elise’s head

Look here, Alpha Hayden- Alvira blurted out, angry to be called a vermin, but the moment his dark, icy gare Lnded on her, she skittered backward in fear, she felt her ce stuck in her throat. His aura of bloodlust was insane, ready to kill anyone who’d step out he liked to disrespect his woman.

His beautiful wife, whom he found bloodied up in the Calhan territory and who almost lost a child to human pursuit after she was left abandoned by these people, fought and persevered.

He was holding it so much not to explode and call a duke between him and Rygan, only his mate’s voice was soothing enough to calm him telepathically, but that did not stop him from showing he could be a problem.

He looked at Rygan, his son’s supposed sire, only to see longing for his mate in Rygan’s mate. a shameless male who didn’t care one bit about his own woman. “What’s wrong, Wench? Too scared to talk now? Hayden questioned.

Just as Alvira stepped back, Rygan stepped forward, crowding and covering Alvira till he was face-to-face with Hayden, both their gazes stern with a dare for the other to take the first punch

“He is not worth it,” Elise said to Hayden. Immediately, he could see the hurt flash in Rygan’s gaze as he looked down at Elise, words stuck heavy on his tongue as he watched her kiss Hayden’s hands, a gesture of affection she proudly showed.

Just when the tension rose, it sizzled out the moment the doors operied, and an old maiden. bowed to both packs in panic as the sound of little feet trudged their way into the space.

“I am sorry, but your daughter demands to see you,” the woman said, and seconds later a young girl ran in, going straight to Alvira, who picked the small girl up.

“Mama,” the girl quipped. Elise played her cards well, hiding her shock that Rygan had moved on very quickly, even siring a daughter.

But the moment the girl looked at them, she only saw brown eyes that looked more like Kaide than Rygan. The girl’s eyes widened as she pointed to Elise and said, “Pretty lady from Papa’s painting!” She said, stunning them all.

Elise, to her credit, held in her shock, but Alvira looked insulted by it, embarrassed that after all these years, Rygan was still pining secretly and had a painting of her in his chambers. “Do not speak or smile to strangers, especially wicked ones,” Alvira reprimanded her daughter, who pouted.

“I suppose I really was nothing but a memory to be thrown away since you mated and made a family, so my congratulations,” she said to Rygan.

“El, this isn’t.”

“…Mom?” They all stopped, all stunned to silence by the sound of another small child. This time the Black Moon pack circle looked perplexed as a small boy ran into Elise’s arms.

“Come here, darling. She bent to kiss her son on the cheeks before she held his hands, showing her pride and joy when the realization hit all of them. Not only was Elise alive, but she had a son too!

For a particular reason, Rygan could barely take his eyes off the small boy. Why did he feel this way? Why the hell did he feel such a bond with this child?
