Chapter 69

Quinn and Niamh were on the same page. Even though it wasn't voiced, they both sensed that something was wrong with the draft.

That was why she agreed to let Niamh approach Blake. She believed those involved had been thoroughly examining the matter to see the whole picture, while those not involved could immediately identify the problems. "I'm going to have a meeting with the team. You should rest for a bit," Quinn said.

Niamh was probably the most anxious at that moment. She was truly exhausted. Thus, she nodded. "Okay."

On the other hand, Castiel was frustrated.

His design department consisted of top-notch designers, yet none of their drafts were to his satisfaction. He was already on edge, and then Lucian uncovered something that made him even more furious. "Mrs. Jamison isn't working at any company. She has opened her own studio," Lucian reported.

Castiel's expression darkened upon hearing that. It seemed he truly underestimated Niamh. "Then tell all companies not to collaborate with her," he instructed.

He was curious to see how far her stubbornness would go. He reflected on her recent changes. Cutting off ties with her family and moving out of Maplewood-every sign pointed to her intention to sever their relationship.

After ten years together, he had never imagined that his relationship with Niamh would turn out like this. Watching her so resolutely distance herself from him, he was deeply surprised.

"Other companies can be dealt with, but Leopardbite Intl. is now under Blake's control. I'm afraid..." Lucian didn't finish the sentence.

Castiel knew Blake well. Back in school, they were equals and bitter rivals. Throughout the years, they'd been consistently at odds with each other. Moreover, both of them were competing fiercely over the bidding for Linden Grove, and it was still uncertain who would win. He certainly couldn't accept that his wife, Niamh, was involved in a collaboration with Blake.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

Castiel closed his eyes, emanating an icy demeanor. When he opened them again, his gaze was sharp and intense. "Don't worry about Blake. She won't be able to collaborate with him!"

Castiel considered Niamh's capabilities trivial, and Blake would likely agree. Despite being adversaries, their judgment was often quite similar. Someone whom he deemed unfit would certainly be seen the same way by Blake.

Blake was known for his strict principles, especially regarding business collaborations.

"Got it," Lucian nodded and sighed in relief. Just thinking about the commotion Niamh had been causing lately gave him a headache, and he had no idea when it would end.

With those two constantly in conflict, everyone working with Castiel had a tough time. They were quietly hoping that Niamh would stop causing trouble soon.

"I need you to investigate someone," Castiel suddenly said.

""Who?" Lucian asked.

"The chairman of Titan International Corporation." At the mention of the company, the coldness in Castiel's eyes intensified. Even his handsome features were now clouded with an icy chill. His gaze, once captivating, had lost its warmth.. Titan International Corporation had dominated the overseas real estate market for years.

Niamh had somehow made connections with the group, and Castiel

couldn't bring himself to dwell on the reasons. He refused to believe that she would be interested in a man so much older.

At the same time, what flashed through his mind was Niamh's poised smile as she attended the banquet with Simon on her arm. She truly looked the part of a perfect lover.
