Chapter 190
Lemira felt a stir as she watched him lounge with such a careless ease, which was intriguingly inviting.
She lowered her gaze, "I was just trying to be helpful, you know."
"Don't worry, she'll share my bed," Orion said with a smirk. "Kid, you're young but your mind sure runs wild."
Lemira's mood soured instantly as she heard those words. The thought of him being so kind to another girl, sharing a bed with her even, saddened her. Her expression cooled significantly, "I'll head back to rest."
With that, Lemira turned and left, her departure marked by the forceful shut of the door. Orion, hearing the slam, arched an eyebrow. Was she angry?
"Orion, you're not being straight with her, man. You don't really have a girlfriend. That's lying."
"I didn't lie to her. Don't you share a room with your girlfriend?"All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
Thaddeus sipped on his lemonade, "You were just playing words with her. Sweet Lemon's thoughtful, keeping it by the bed. If it weren't for her status, I'd say she's quite the match for you." Orion's gaze darkened, "Don't joke about that."
"Alright, enough with the banter. I just got word: the exam surveillance footage was pulled up, and it's clear as day - Ms. Fake Angel cheated, an obvious evidence. What's your move?"
A smile played on Orion's lips, his eyes not following suit, "What else? Justice will be served."
Bugs needed to be squashed.

Back at her apartment, recalling Orion's words, Lemira wished she could knock some sense into him.
Lying on her bed, she felt distressed. For a while, she had managed to forget about Orion's supposed girlfriend, hoping if ignored, it would feel like it never happened. But that was just wishful thinking.
The reason she had brought up moving out was to avoid bringing trouble to Orion from Asher finding out she lived outside. Because of this matter, sleep eluded her that night.
The next day, she got a call from
Hogan, "Ms. Langston, the game you helped develop is going live. We need all hands on deck for a final meeting, and as a technician, you've got to take a part. Can you make it this afternoon?"
"I'd rather not. Missing one person won't make a difference for the meeting." Lemira wasn't keen on crossing paths with the Langston family again.
"Ms. Langston, this is work-related. I get where you're coming from, but work is work. If you plan to start your own venture or anything involving the Langston family in the future, are you going to avoid it forever?"
"Who said anything about avoiding?" After a moment, Lemira agreed, "I'll be there."
Hanging up, she felt a mix of annoyance. She wasn't one to run from her problems.
She headed to the hospital in the afternoon where Lucian was still admitted.
Walking into the room, she found a couple of team members gathered, a real meeting indeed. On her way, she even wondered if it was a trick to lure her there.
Lucian's eyes were warm as he saw Lemira, "Glad you could make it. Let's start."
Lemira listened from the sidelines, hearing some complain about the pressing deadlines from partners. She figured Thaddeus and Orion must have been busy with the game, explaining their absence.
As the meeting concluded, Lemira made to leave without looking up.
"Lemmy, wait."
Soon, only the two of them remained.
Lucian spoke, "Did you know Asher came back last night?"
"I did, but my decision stands."
Approaching the door, she found it blocked by a group, led by a stern, handsome man in a suit. Asher spoke coldly, "And where do you think you're going?"
