Unexpectedly Married to a Billionaire (Lorraine and Logan)

Chapter 155

Chapter 155

Finnegan had already begun to eat when he answered softly, “Aunt Cheryl often goes to those hotels with stars to eat.”

Luke was dumbfounded.

Looking at the three plainly dressed women, he wondered if they could actually afford to eat in a five–star hotel.

It would be a different case if they were some wealthy man’s lovers, but judging from how they carried themselves, Luke doubted that was the case.

They had an air of elegance around them and did not seem like the type to sleep around for money.

“Mr. Linton, don’t pay any attention to Cheryl. She has a rich friend who often brings her to the different five–star hotels around the city, so her palette is spoiled now. I find all these dishes are delicious.”

Veronica Moore was the least pickiest eater of her generation. She was also the one with the biggest appetite.

One should not be fooled by her model–like body and assume she was a light eater. Her appetite was even bigger than that of a man.

Listening to Veronica’s explanation, Luke’s confusion immediately disappeared.

As the eldest among her two cousins, Jenny chose to speak up and said, “Cheryl, you should be appreciative that Lorraine’s classmate is treating us to a meal. Don’t be so picky. If you can’t

swallow the food here, you can go home and cook for yourself.”

After that, she turned to Luke and said abashedly, “Mr. Linton, Cheryl has always been a picky eater. Don’t pay her any mind.”

Luke quickly said, “Don’t worry. The kids were the ones who had ordered the food. They know all of your preferences, so I’m sure they’ll Ms. Cheryl will be able to enjoy something that she likes. I’ll ask a waiter to open up another table and bring out all the food.”

Lorraine looked abashed and said, “Luke, that’s too much trouble.”

“No worries. It’s important for everyone to be happy and enjoy their time here.” Luke said before getting up to make some arrangements with the waiters.

The second he left, Finnegan said, “Aunt Jenny, he keeps trying to cling onto my mom.”

After receiving the looks of concern from Logan’s cousins, Lorraine calmly explained, “Luke was my classmate. He was also my first boyfriend, but we broke up after he cheated on me. We also stopped contacting each other after the breakup.” Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

“There was a class reunion back in Easter where we finally met again. But after meeting again tonight, he’s like a leech and refuses to leave me alone.

“Since he insisted on treating me to a meal, I decided it’ll be best to call everyone here and squeeze him dry. Let this be a lesson for him, so that he’ll never want to treat me to a meal again.”

After that, Lorraine turned to Cheryl and said, “Cheryl, if you don’t like the food he’s ordered, ask for the menu and choose whatever you like. There’s no need to hold back since Luke loves treating people so much.”

The three women were shocked by Lorraine’s explanation.

Turns out, Lorraine and Logan were much more similar than they thought. They both sure had a knack at deceiving people.

Luke seemed to have an ulterior motive judging from the way he looked at her.

Taking their past relationship into consideration, he probably thinks he can rekindle their relationship after earning some big bucks. Was he thinking of having an affair with Lorraine?

Was he hoping Lorraine would cheat on Logan with him? How dare he even think of such a thing?

Cheryl smiled and said, “Don’t worry, Lorraine. I won’t mistreat myself for anyone’s sake.”

She was determined to make that scumbag’s legs would turn weak once he saw the bill.

Veronica hadn’t stopped eating since the food had arrived. She said between chews, “Lorraine, I don’t mind the food. I find it quite delicious as it’s quite similar to the food our- “The food our parents would cook.”

That was close. She nearly slipped up and mentioned they had a private chef.

Jenny turned to Lorraine and smiled, “Lorraine, this is Veronica Moore. She’s Uncle Peter’s only daughter.

“She was born with a huge appetite and could probably out eat a man. More importantly, she can never seem to grow fat no matter how much she eats. I’m so envious of her for that.”

Hearing this, Lorraine looked at Veronica with admiration.

“I also love to eat and tend to have a big appetite. But I’ll grow fat if I eat too much and stop exercising. I’m so jealous of those people with great metabolism.”
