Chapter 2183 Inspirations
Cindy bid Gary farewell and strode into the company.
However, she was startled when she stepped into the lobby, for Lucy was standing there and looking at
Gary's car.
She quickly pulled herself together and nodded at Lucy. "Hi, Miss Harrison."
Lucy pocketed her gaze and glanced at Cindy. "Did you go out with Mr. Frye?"
Since there was nothing to hide, Cindy hummed. "Yes, Mr. Frye happened to pass by when I was going
out for lunch, so we decided to have a meal together."
Lucy nodded, and there didn't seem to be anything off about her expression. She even curled her lips
as though flashing a smile at Cindy. "Alright, let's go back to the office."
Without responding to her, Cindy turned around and strode toward the elevator. After the door was
closed, she let out a breath. It's a small world, huh? I didn't expect to see her there when Gary and I
returned from lunch!
Nevertheless, it didn't bother her. Since she wasn't guilty in any way, it made no difference that the
woman saw them coming back together.
After returning to the office, she quickly rested her head on the table and got some shuteye. She lacked
inspiration in the morning, so she had practically done nothing. If she couldn't rest well now, she
wouldn't be able to do anything in the afternoon.
She soon dozed off, but she couldn't sleep well.
That was because she had an erotic dream where she recalled what Ian had done to her the night
before. For some reason, she even felt bashful in her dream. Although they were a couple, she still felt
shy whenever she was with Ian, especially when they were in bed.
It wasn't until someone tapped on Cindy's shoulder that she awakened. The person was the gossipy
woman who always slid to her in her chair.
The woman reminded her in a small voice, "It's time to work. Why were you so sound asleep?"
Cindy straightened up in a groggy state and fished out her phone. She remembered setting the alarm,
but she didn't hear it at all.
If the woman hadn't woken her up, she would have remained asleep the entire afternoon.
She asked in a hoarse voice, "Didn't my alarm go off?"
The woman sighed. "It did, but you didn't hear it."
Cindy nodded and thanked her. Her alarm had gone off, and the others had heard it, but all of them
pretended that nothing had happened. None of them woke her up because they wanted to see her
getting into trouble.
Certainly, Cindy was grateful that the woman took the initiative to wake her up. The woman smiled and
slid back to her desk without a word.
Although Cindy didn't sleep for a long time, she finally regained some energy. She quickly pulled
herself together and fished out the purchase order that Serena had given her.
She had found a general theme for the design and drawn a little of it, but she scrapped the draft
because it wasn't up to her standard.
For some reason, an inspiration sprang into her mind as she sat there. She quickly picked up a pen
and started sketching on paper.
Since she was engrossed in it, she no longer felt tired or sleepy. As more inspirations came into her
mind, she was able to draw the frame and fill up the details quickly.
At that moment, she seemed to walk down memory lane and return to her college time. She recalled
her teacher telling her she was talented in design.
Although many people said that hard work was more important than talent, it couldn't be denied that
talent was crucial to success. If a person didn't have any talent, they would lose their way and couldn't
find a way out.
Cindy took a deep breath and picked up her draft. Even though she was satisfied with it, she wondered
what Serena would think.
Since it was just a first draft, she couldn't hand it in. She had to wait until her inspirations were gone
before she took another look at it.Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
