Move out
The room was cloaked in darkness, with a faint light streaming through the night lamp.
As the bed beside her sunk, her fingers subconsciously tightened around the bedsheets.
A faint fragrance of sandalwood suddenly invaded her senses, and Jayden pressed her under him.
Nina was pretending to be asleep, but after being crushed under his weight, her eyes flew wide open.
“Not pretending anymore?” He looked at her with his two good-looking eyes.
“W-What are you doing?”
Nina felt she must be stupid to ask such an obvious question.
Jayden’s body was pressed against hers, and she could feel the changes in his body. A light chuckle escaped from the man’s thin lips and his low, seductive voice rang in her ears. “Something that adults do.”
He bowed his head and just as he was about to kiss her, Nina evaded it and his lips landed on her cheek.
Jayden squinted his eyes and lifted her chin. He did not give her time to move, and his lips landed on hers.
Her lips were soft and as sweet as he remembered. Last night he had kissed them until they had swollen.
But no matter how much he had kissed her, it still wasn’t enough.
Kissed by him, Nina felt her head spin.
She didn’t know what to do as she felt the heat of his body that was burning with desire. She placed her hand on his firm chest and pushed him away.
Jayden looked at her, his eyes glowing dangerously in the dark. He had no expression on his face and his eyebrows were cold.
When those cold eyes stared at her, Nina stopped breathing for several seconds.
“What do you mean by this?”
Nina bit the corners of her lips and stayed silent for a while. “I’m not yet ready.”
They were a married couple, so any form of physical contact was normal.
She needed some time to adjust.
“You did not say this when you straddled me under you.” He asserted.
Nina blushed at his words and retorted. “How’s that same? Last night I was under the influence of drugs.”
Last night had been her first night, so he was aware of her inexperience. Although his body was burning with passion, he wanted to take her willingly.
There would be no fun left if he forced her. He wanted to feel her ardor like he had last night.
“One week.” Jayden lifted her chin with his long fingers and said, “One week, and if you still can’t adapt, don’t blame me for using force.”
His eyes glowed dangerously in the dark. Nina felt herself suffocate under his gaze. She could see the blazing fire in his eyes as if he would devour her any moment.
Swallowing, she could only give a shaky nod.
Without a warning, the man leaned over once again and bit her lips reluctantly before releasing her.
Her eyes moistened, and before she could return to her senses, his heavyweight left her. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
Lifting the corner of the blanket, he got out of bed and went to the study to work overtime.
A while later, Nina stared at the closed door with mixed emotions. She pulled on the blanket and closed her eyes, slowly falling into slumber.
For the next few days, Nina didn’t see Jayden. It was unknown if she was happy or upset by his absence.
Soon, it was the weekend, marking the end of her month-long vacation.
Nina was a sophomore at the Imperial Designing University, the top fashion designing university in Country A.
No, her father wasn’t generous enough to send her to the university. He never bothered about anything related to her.
Because of her splendid academic records and various scholarships, she was specially invited by Vincent Ricci, the director of IDU.
After getting into the university, Nina had been living in the university dorms and rarely went back to Santiago’s house.
Now that she was married, she wanted to tell him about her plans.
“Madam, is there anything bothering you?” Ms. Eva asked when she saw Nina sitting in a daze.
Nina snapped back and shook her head. “Ah, no. I was wondering if he would be back tonight.”
“Master is an ardent workaholic and does not keep track of time. He’d be away from home for five or six days straight. If you don’t remind him, he won’t return.” She informed her kindly.
Nina nodded. “Then I guess I have no choice but to call him.”
On the 89th floor, the president’s office.
The morning sunlight casts a shadow on him, making the man look as though he had walked out of a painting. His brows were furrowed as he typed on the keyboard, the fatigue on his face apparent.
A knock rang in the room, breaking its previous tranquillity.
Rick entered the office with a folder and walked toward the desk. “Master, this is the company’s financial report for this year.”
“Put it on the desk. I’ll check it later.” Without looking away, Jayden replied.
After placing the documents on the table, Rick paused.
“Master, it’s time for a break. You’ve been working non-stop for the past two days. I understand that there are still important matters that need your attention, but you shouldn’t neglect your health.” He advised.
Although Rick was Jayden’s assistant and his right-hand man, he was one of the few people who was close to Jayden.
“Mhmm.”
Seeing that he did not flare up, Rick was bold and continued. “I shouldn’t say this, but you’re married now. You can’t only think about work all the time.”
What he wanted to say was, with your irritating personality, it is already a miracle that you could get a wife. Are you gonna sit back and watch until that one woman slips out from your life, too?
A frown appeared on his handsome face as he shot Rick a look. “You’re so noisy.”
“I-”
Before he could continue, Jayden’s cell phone rang. It was an unknown number calling, so he did not pick it up.
Seeing that the phone hadn’t quietened down even after a few rings, he eventually picked up the call.
“Hello?”
The other end was silent for a second before replying. “It’s me.”
When the sweet mellow voice rang in his ears, a hint of surprise flashed across his face, which was too quick to notice.
He finally paused his work, leaned back lazily on the chair, and replied. “Oh, what’s up?”
“Are you busy with work?”
Glancing at the numerous files on his desk he answered smoothly. “Not much.”
“Then will you go home tonight? I have something important to tell you.” Nina asked carefully.
“Okay.”
Nina did not expect him to agree so easily. Recalling how they had ended on an unpleasant note last night, she had thought that it would take a long time to convince him.
Jayden hung up the phone and glanced at Rick, who was looking over curiously. “Tell the vice president to check the year-end reports. Assign the East-river project to Valeria.”
With a puzzled look on his face, Rick questioned. “Master, where are you going?”
Jayden stood up and smoothened his suit while replying. “I have a wife now. I can’t neglect my duties toward her. A single soul like you would never understand.” He said in disdain.
Rick’s mouth twitched, and he felt an invisible row of arrows pierce his heart.
He could have chosen not to answer. Why did he have to mock him for being single?
One hour later, Nina saw the familiar black rolls Royce enter the gates from her balcony and raised her brow.
That was fast!
By the time she went downstairs, Jayden took a seat and passed his suit jacket to Ms. Eva.
“What did you want to tell me?” He asked as he loosened his tie.
Nina sat opposite him on the single-seater. “My college starts tomorrow. I usually lived on campus and only went home whenever I was summoned. Hence, I was thinking of going back.”
By the time she finished, she saw Jayden’s face turn increasingly black.
Although she had mentally prepared herself it wouldn’t be easy to convince him. Especially since they have been ending their conversations on a bitter note for the past few times. Still, she could not help but feel annoyed when she saw his expression.
Jayden was silent. He stared at her with his dark eyes for a couple of minutes before his thin lips curled up slightly. “Is this marriage a joke to you?”
Nina clenched her fists. “No. But I-”
Jayden cut her off harshly. “Do you think I don’t know what’s going on in that little head of yours? With the excuse of living on the campus, you want to avoid living with me, right?”
“Believe me when I tell you that I’ll personally help your family sell you off to that investor if you dare run away from me.”
