Chapter 97
Chapter 97
Half an hour later, Kamilla was in the middle of a card game when her phone buzzed.
“Room 211, second floor.”
Lifting her eyes, she suddenly stood up and told her friends, “I’m done playing. You guys carry on.”
After Kamilla left, the rest of the gang exchanged glances.
“Kamilla is such a piece of work. She’s the one who wanted to play, and now she’s the one who’s bailing.”
“Shush, keep it down, she might not be far off.”
–
“What’s there to fear? The soundproofing here is top–notch.” The one speaking was a lady in a navy blue dress, “Will Kamilla come back? If not, I’m calling my friend over to join the game. We’re one player short.”
“She’s definitely not coming back, the birthday party will be over in an hour. Hurry up, hurry up!”
Outside Room 211.
Kamilla’s heart pounded. She took a deep breath, mustered up her courage, and pushed open the door.
This was the boldest thing she’d done since she turned twenty.
The curtains were drawn in the room, casting a dim light. She could faintly hear a man’s heavy breathing. Approaching the bed, she saw Aidan lying there, his thoughts seemingly in disarray.
Softly, she called out, “Aidan.”
The man opened his eyes, feeling incredibly uncomfortable, his body heated as if ready to explode.
His thoughts weren’t completely muddled yet, he could vaguely see a silhouette in front of him.
“Who is it?”
Aidan realized he’d been set up. He’d never expected someone would pull a stunt on him at his birthday party.
At that moment, he saw a woman slowly approaching him.
Beneath the faint moonlight, he was stunned to find that it was Kamilla!
Aidan gritted his teeth, trying to clear his head, “Kamilla…”
Seeing the man she’d longed for right in front of her, witnessing his discomfort, her previously wavering heart made a decision.
“Aidan, it’s me.” She mustered up the courage to call his name, slipping out of her clothes and standing before him bared.
Aidan clenched his fists, his body writhing in pain as if a bomb was about to explode inside. But he knew, the woman before him was Kamilla, his friend, he couldn’t harbor any other thoughts.
Suppressing his last bit of sanity, he snarled through gritted teeth, “Kamilla, get dressed!!”
But Kamilla embraced him, her cool, soft body causing him to tremble uncontrollably as she pressed against his feverish skin.
His forehead strained, he tried to push her away, “Kamilla, get out!!!”
“Aidan…” At that moment, Kamilla discarded all her pride. All she wanted was Aidan’s love. She was even prepared to confess to her father that she loved Aidan, that they’d been together. She was certain that Aidan would take responsibility under pressure, and her doting father would surely force Aidan to marry her!
But Aidan bit down hard on his teeth.
Even if it cost him his life, he couldn’t hurt Kamilla!Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
