Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 405

Chapter 405

Molly kept her head down at the dinner table, avoiding the ongoing conversation.

Vivian was very cunning. She knew that Chad never answered her calls, and she didn’t dare to cross

Molly. So, she shifted her attention to Coleen. Through her stepmother, Vivian got Coleen’s number

and started to brag about her image.

At first, Coleen picked up, but later she simply ignored the calls. Having encountered all sorts of

manipulative people in the business world, Coleen saw through Vivian’s schemes from the first call.

Even if Chad was no longer a policeman, he was still the eldest son of the Byrne family. A single Chade

Inc. was enough for him to lead a lavish life.

Now he was promoted to squad leader, so his future was even brighter. Why would he give up such an

opportunity?

During lunch, Vivian’s greetings came through another call.

Coleen silenced her phone, ignoring the ring.

Molly also guessed what the scheming Vivian was up to, so she suggested, “Mom, answer the call and

match her with a man.”

Coleen replied, “Hmm?”

“If she wants a man, just introduce her to one. Consider it as a favor for her. Just introduce anyone. My

cousin Saul is still single. You can introduce him to her for the cheap people to form a family. They can

cause trouble to each other, which is a good thing.”

Coleen said, “Mind your language.”

“There’s no need to hide in front of my mom.”

Coleen suddenly felt that her daughter’s suggestion was viable. So, when Molly left for work, she

picked up Vivian’s call.

It was time for Mia’s prenatal check. At the hospital, she was alert and looking around. Andre said,

“Stop looking. They went somewhere else for their prenatal checkups.”

Mia was full of energy. Even the doctor said he rarely saw such a vivacious pregnant woman. Andre

was a bit overwhelmed. His wife’s energy indirectly meant more hassle.

She said, “I know Holly went somewhere else for her prenatal check. I’m looking to see if Finley has

sent someone to spy on us.”

Andre, who misjudged the situation, was surprised. He replied after a pause, “No, they have their own

headaches to deal with right now. They won’t bother with you.”

“Honey, do you have a lot of evidence and know a lot of things?”

Andre raised an eyebrow. “You guessed?”

“You see, you have a lot of things you’re not telling me, but I’ve told you everything.” Mia hugged her

husband’s arm and started her information gathering journey again.

After her prenatal check, Mia went to her parents’ house. Madison, seeing her daughter, asked, “Do

you have leg cramps?”

Mia shook her head. “No.”

“Do you feel nauseous?”

“Not at all.”

Madison was surprised. “You have a good physique.”

“Not really. It’s just that the nutritionist that my husband found for me is really good.” She was not

eating four meals a day for nothing. Not only did she gain weight, but her baby was also healthy. And

her own nutritional needs were met.

Mia regretfully said, “My husband even learned to massage, but it didn’t come in handy.”

Madison laughed at her daughter. “You just brag here.”

Mia made a cute face at her mother.

Their daughter was happy; the couple had nothing to worry about.

After having dinner at her parents’ house, Mia and Andre went to the mall to look at baby cribs on the

way home.

Molly was bored at home. Once she had some free time, she would pick up her phone to call Chad. But

she soon put down the phone she had picked up, deciding not to disturb Chad recently.

The couple visited many stores before finally choosing a baby crib. Andre came home late as he took

the crib directly to Maplewood Estates, leaving it in the living room to air out.

Mia went room by room, looking for the future baby’s room. Their master bedroom was grand with a

cream-colored double door, extremely impressive. Mia had to admit that she admired Andre’s aesthetic

sense. He was still a student a decade ago, but his taste back then still held up today. Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Honey, didn’t you think of leaving a bedroom for your son?” Mia was torn while choosing a room.

Andre said, “I didn’t even think I would get married. Where would a son come from?”

Mia said, “I’m sorry. It’s my fault for being late. I’ll apologize.”

Andre chuckled. His eyes were full of affection. “You really should.”

After spending two hours at Maplewood Estates, Mia started yawning. He quickly took her home to

sleep. But before they reached home, Mia, in the passenger seat, fell asleep.

When they got home, he tried to wake her up to go to her room, but she waved him off, not wanting to

be disturbed. Having no other choice, Andre carefully lifted her, making sure not to press on her belly,

and carried her to their bedroom.

Just as he laid her down and was about to take off her shoes, Mia woke up.

Waking up abruptly after a nap often meant not being able to fall asleep again that night. As expected,

that night, Mia tossed and turned in Andre’s arms. Her short legs were resting on top of his, and her

arm was casually thrown across his chest. Then she turned over, hogging the blanket and leaving

Andre with nothing.

Feeling bad for her husband catching a cold, she quickly covered him up. Andre pretended to be

asleep. If he didn’t, his little Mia would probably chat with him all night about life. With his eyes closed,

he could feel his wife’s love for him.

“Wow, honey, your eyelashes are so long.” She leaned in, sneaking a kiss.

Andre’s desire was aroused.

Mia stared at her husband’s lips. Then, without asking, she leaned in for a stolen kiss. She was not

satisfied with just one, so she kissed again, and again.

Unable to bear it, Andre turned over with his eyes closed. His arm was around her, pulling her closer.

Mia was startled, not daring to move. Waiting for her husband to fall asleep, she pouted, and gave his

chin a kiss. “Enough with the kisses. I’ll play with my phone.”

She turned over and, unknowingly, took the whole blanket from her husband again.

Andre watched as Mia was lying on his arm and playing with her phone. She was chatting with her

brother.

[Are you asleep?]

Cooper said, [Are you insane?]

It was late at night in Eldoria, but it was class time there.

Mia said, [Mom said you were born to keep me company, not to piss me off.]

[Oh, then you might be disappointed. Ask mom to have another one for you.]

Mia warned her brother with a real-life example. [Leo said that Naomi could have a second child, and

then Naomi hit him.]

Cooper replied, [Don’t worry. You’re pregnant. Even if you suggest to our mom to have a third child, she

won’t get mad at you.]

Andre cradled his wife’s belly. Mia felt a small movement. She turned her head only to find that she had

once again taken the whole blanket. Immediately, she put down her cell phone and once again covered

her husband with the blanket.

For a while, Mia didn’t respond, so Cooper couldn’t help but ask, [Are you asleep? You’re not sleeping

with your cell phone, are you? It has radiation.]

Cooper sent another message, [Wake up, sis. Put your cell phone aside and then go back to sleep.]

Several messages were in a row. Cooper was rushing her. [Sis, if you don’t respond, I’m going to call

you.]

Finally, Mia responded, [Not asleep. I was just covering your brother-in-law with a blanket.]
