Stuck In The Wrong Marriage

Chapter 60

Happy reading…

When she got home, Hera was greeted enthusiastically by Anne and Andrew, who had been waiting for her for a long time. Haidar had already said goodbye without stopping by, he said he had urgent business to attend to.

“Where’s Juan?” asked Hera looking around the house.

“Sleeping with Ara,” replied Anne. Hera just nodded in understanding. Taking Andrew’s wheelchair and pushing him into the living room.

“How is the result?” asked Anne impatiently.

Seeing the radiant look on Hera’s face, Anne and Andrew could guess if the daughter was bringing good news. But that didn’t stop Anne from knowing directly from Hera.

“Everything went smoothly….” Hera sighed softly as she smiled at her father and mother. “Jayden and I are officially divorced.”

Anne could not hide her happiness. Hera hugged her tightly with a relieved smile plastered on her face. Maybe there are many parents out there who will be disappointed when they hear that their children are divorced. Yes, of course if the couple was happy, but Hera… hah… maybe this was her destiny.

Separation is the best option.

“Finally you can get away from him too,” murmured Anne, stroking Hera’s back gently.

“Yes, Mom. This is thanks to the prayers and support of Mom and Dad too,” said Hera.

They broke the hug. Staring at Andrew who could only be silent. Even though they didn’t say anything, the two women could see that Andrew was happy to hear this good news.

“Dad is happy too, isn’t he?” asked Hera. Andrew blinked twice and it meant ‘Yes’.

Hera was grateful that now her father was able to communicate even if it was just a blink of an eye. Andrew also only able to use a wheelchair a few days ago.

Since leaving the hospital the man could only lie down, even to eat and drink was very difficult. The first week was the most difficult for the Hera family.

But now, all the pain seemed to have paid off. Hera’s little family could smile again.

**Flash back**

Hera returned to the hospital with mixed feelings. What should she tell her father and mother? They have lost everything now. There’s nothing left. Haidar, who knew Hera’s heartbreak, tightly gripped the woman’s hand.

“What should I tell them, Haidar? We have nothing left,” Hera sobbed. They had arrived in front of Andrew’s living room but the steps were too heavy to enter.

“No, Hera. You still have one thing.”

When Haidar said that, Hera was confused. She still has one thing? But what? Everything has been taken by Jayden.

All the questions that filled her head were answered when they arrived at a two-story house. The house is located in a residential area not far from Haidar’s apartment.

“Whose house is this, Haidar?” Hera asked looking at the house for a moment then glanced at Haidar who was standing beside her.

“Your house,” said Haidar.

“My house? Don’t joke. I don’t think I’ve ever bought a house as good as this,” said Hera. Never mind buying a house, just don’t think about it.

“Remember when you told me to buy some land at Alatha Center?”

Hera nodded. How could she have forgotten when she told Jayden to choose between herself or the land, and with a jerk Jayden chose the land instead.

Oh shit! Just remembering Hera’s blood was boiling.

“I bought it with the money you gave me,” continued Haidar.

Hera had almost forgotten about it. She was so focused on her goal to know whether Jayden would choose her or the land, that she forgot that the money she had saved up she had given to Haidar to buy the land at Alatha Center.

“Is that true?” Hera still couldn’t believe it.

“Of course, Hera.”

Hera’s black eyes glazed over. This is really an unexpected surprise. At that time Hera just didn’t want to owe Haidar too much. Even though she had vehemently refused. But Hera was more stubborn, so Haidar finally relented. But who would have thought if her decision at that time was the most appropriate decision.

“Thank you very much, Haidar.” Hera unconsciously hugged the man. And of course Haidar happily hugged Hera back.

Haidar took Hera to look around the house. Haidar was very happy because Hera seemed to like the house she had chosen herself. Starting from the interior to the exterior. Hera likes it.

“The price that Jayden gave is quite large. So you not only get this house but you can also get your father’s company back. All the property is also in your name and is not related to your father’s property so Jayden won’t be able to take it,” said Haidar handing a credit card containing all of Hera’s money.

The man had already prepared all of this from a long time ago. He was just waiting for the right time to give back all of Hera’s rights.

They were now sitting in the living room after nearly thirty minutes of exploring the house. Only a few important rooms. The rest Hera would see when she and her family moved there.

“Thank you again, Haidar.” Hera was really at a loss for words so happy that she could only say thank you earlier.

“Anything if it’s for you,” said Haidar making both of them chuckle. “Nor did I expect Jayden to keep his promise to pay double the original price.”

Hera took a deep breath. “Jayden never played with his words.”

More than one year together was enough to make Hera get to know Jayden well. Arrogant, cunning and wouldn’t think twice if he thought it would be profitable.

“Including destroying my family,” Hera whispered, lowering her head. Her chest felt tight and sore remembering how cruel a Jayden had to make her family fall apart. Even almost made Hera lose her father.

“Then you’ll just shut up?”

Haidar’s question made Hera raise her head. The big hand reached out to wipe the tears from Hera’s cheeks. Haidar’s emotions boil every time he sees the woman he loves so much being hurt by another man. Haidar will not forgive Jayden for making Hera cry because of it.

Deep down, of course, Hera didn’t want to stand by and watch how the man crushed her. Jayden was the man Hera hated the most in this world. But there was still one gap that made the woman think twice. After all, Jayden is still the father of her son.

“I really want to avenge Jayden’s actions. But doesn’t that mean I’m the same as him?” Hera took a deep breath before continuing. “Enough Juan has a lousy father.”

Haidar had expected that Hera would not easily say yes to revenge. To some extent it disappointed him. But what Hera said no one could deny. He couldn’t even imagine if Juan would grow up and know all this stuff. The kid would definitely be very disappointed. Knowing his father and mother are obsessed with revenge for each other.

Haidar smiled faintly but the words that came out of his mouth made Hera instantly shut up.

“Then … let me repay Jayden for what he did to you.”
