Hera called her mother who was sitting with Ara. The woman’s face was puffy with tears streaming down her cheeks.

“How’s Dad, Mom?” asked Hera, who was no less confused than Anne. The middle-aged woman shook her head and hugged Hera with her body that felt so weak.

Since hearing the news that her husband fell unconscious in the office until now entering the ER, Anne has been crying. All of her strength had been drained. Luckily there was Ara who was loyal to her before Hera came.

Hera also had tears in her eyes but no sound came out. He led Anne to sit down. She was the same, very worried and nervous, but Hera didn’t show it in front of her mother as best she could.

“I’m sure Dad will be fine, Mom,” Hera said hugging Anne tightly. Whether it’s to strengthen yourself or to strengthen the mother. Maybe both.

Hera turned to Jayden who was standing holding Juan who was sleeping. The man hasn’t said anything since then. His gaze was blank, making Hera unable to guess what was in the man’s mind. But the smile Hera had seen earlier made her think twice.

The silence that had only been filled with the sound of Anne’s sobs broke when a doctor came out of the room. Anne and Hera hurriedly approached the doctor.

“Thank God he was able to get through his critical period,” said the male doctor making the mother and daughter pair breathe a sigh of relief. “Unfortunately, Mr. Andrew had a stroke which left his body paralyzed.”

Anne and Hera, who had been breathing a sigh of relief, were again surprised by the doctor’s statement.

“My father had a stroke?” asked Hera as if she still couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

“That’s right, Miss,” he replied. “Then excuse me,” he said again and then left.

Either from shock or exhaustion, in the end Anne’s body fell. The woman fainted. Create a moment of panic.

One problem has not been solved yet another problem comes. It was as if Jayden and Hera’s separation would only bring disaster to all of them.

What actually happened?

***

Hearing that Mr. Andrew was admitted to the hospital, Haidar immediately rushed to the hospital accompanied by Ridwan. Even an important meeting he was supposed to attend had to be postponed.

Hera is more important than anything. Besides, the colleagues didn’t mind waiting for Haidar either. His influence and that of his father made almost all of his colleagues unable to argue. Not afraid just shy.

When he arrived at the hospital, Haidar saw Hera sitting next to Anne, who was lying unconscious on the hospital bed. The man’s attention turned to Jayden who was standing beside Hera. With wide strides Haidar walked towards them. He grabbed Jayden’s collar and punched the man on the cheek so he fell on the floor.

“Fuck!” Haidar shouted.

Everyone there was shocked. Including Hera.

“Haidar, what is this?!” shouted Hera stifled. Remember they are in the hospital.

Luckily, there was Ridwan who hugged Haidar before the man beat Jayden again.

“Patience, Mr. Haidar. We are in the hospital!” said Ridwan trying to calm Haidar who was already burning with emotion.

“How can I be patient with a cunning and evil man like him, Ridwan?” Haidar strongly pushed Ridwan’s hand away. Things were so tense there. They are for everyone to see.

“What do you mean, Haidar?” asked Hera in a trembling voice.

Haidar turned to Hera. Seeing the woman’s state of chaos made Haidar even more unable to control his emotions.

“Because this man put your father in the hospital, Hera,” said Haidar, pointing to Jayden who had stood back up.

“W–what?” Hera stuttered. She looked at Jayden with teary eyes. Will be disappointed and do not expect.

“Aish, shit!” Jayden cursed feeling a sting at the corner of his injured lip. Even fresh blood was flowing there. “Even though I still want to enjoy the show,” he said grinning, looking down at Hera and Haidar in turn.

Plakkk!!!

Haidar, who was already ready to beat Jayden, stopped when Hera slapped the man’s cheek first.

“You had to come this far, huh?” said Hera in a trembling voice. The emotions that were in him could no longer be contained. “Do you really have no conscience anymore?” Hera sobbed. Her chest tightened like oxygen had just been deprived of her.

Her body almost swayed but Haidar swiftly brought Hera’s trembling body into his arms.

Jayden glanced at the woman who was still his wife. A mocking smile still graced his face, which was reddened by Hera’s slap.

“Didn’t I tell you, Hera? I won’t let you go after you ruined my life,” Jayden said quietly.

As if what Jayden had just said was a joke, Hera laughed blandly.

“Ruined your life? You’re the one who ruined my life, Jayden!” shouted Hera could not stand it anymore. She didn’t even care if she was going to be kicked out of the hospital for making a fuss.

“Then we’re even.” Jayden stepped closer to Hera. “I won’t lose anything when you divorce. But on the contrary, you will lose everything when you separate from me,” Jayden said with a chuckle before walking away from the hospital.

Haidar was about to chase the man but Hera quickly restrained him. The woman shook her head slowly looking at Haidar with her eyes that had flooded with tears.

“I need you here,” Hera whispered, dropping her head on Haidar’s chest.

The emotions that had reached the crown gradually subsided. Haidar took a deep breath and then hugged Hera tightly. That’s right, Hera needed him more now. Jayden’s business he could finish later.

Hera’s body really felt boneless. So this is Jayden’s revenge? Hera didn’t think he would go this far. In fact, he did not hesitate to risk the lives of his parents. Hera had to wonder, was the man still sane or not? But one thing is certain, even Hera will not forgive Jayden until death.

Won’t.

“Damn it!”

The first words that came out of Jayden’s mouth after the car reached Elena’s yard.

He should be happy now, right? Because all the plans went smoothly. Strangely though, Jayden didn’t feel that way. Hera’s look of disappointment and anger could make her feelings chaotic.

Not. Jayden shouldn’t feel that way. Still feeling uneasy, Jayden stepped into the house.

“Honey, you’re home,” said Elena, hearing the sound of the door opening revealing Jayden’s existence. Elena slightly frowned at the confused expression on Jayden’s face.

Without saying anything Jayden immediately pulled Elena into the room. Making love is the only way Jayden vents all his worries.

But unfortunately, Elena who was sighing loudly in her confinement actually looked like Hera. Jayden groaned loudly.

What happened to me?
