Joanna was furious!

She waited for him for the whole night, from eight to twelve. Now, he wasn’t coming at a moment’s notice. Wasn’t he playing her?

She was Joanna! Joanna! The heiress to the Lowell family!

She was always the absent one when making plans with others. Who did he think he was to do this to her?

Joanna was furious. She picked up her phone and was about to scold him.

The man sent another message.

“I’m so sorry! Let’s set another time for tomorrow!

Joanna narrowed her eyes. Were they setting another time?

“You won’t be absent like today, right? I’m telling you, I’m very unhappy!”

M replied, “Of course not. I’m really sorry for today! I can bring the Snowdrop with me tomorrow to our meeting. Naturally, if you’re really dissatisfied and unwilling to meet again, I understand entirely. I won’t waste your time.”

Joanna furrowed her brows. Was he going to bring the Snowdrop?

When she saw his message, she couldn’t care less about his absence.

She was descending into madness in her desire for the Snowdrop!

“Alright! We’ll meet here tomorrow at twelve!”

She’d give him another chance.

If he didn’t show up, she would scour every corner of Yerwick for him. Then, she would chop him up

and throw him into the sea to feed the sharks!

Joanna got up and walked out.

When she left the room, Millie walked out at the same time.

She was sucking on a lollipop. Dark humor glinted in her eyes.

“Hi, Ms. Lowell. What a coincidence. Are you done?”

Joanna immediately shut the door.

Millie narrowed her eyes and noticed her pale complexion. She was clearly pissed.

However, she couldn’t exhibit her temper in front of Millie.

She pushed her hair back and raised an eyebrow She announced, “It’s done!”

“Have you met M? Millie smiled while asking. She pretended to be begging for a look as well like an uneducated person.

Joanna pushed Millie away to stop her from crowding around the room.

If Millie found out that she didn’t meet M and walled for him alone for more than five hours, she would make fun of her endlessly.

She wasn’t going to give Millie the chance!

“Of course I’ve met him. Stop looking. M has left.

Millie pursed her lips in disappointment and said, “He left? What a pity.”

“What pity? Not everyone could meet M!” Joanna walked out.

Millie walked with her shoulder to shoulder and asked curiously, “Ms. Lowell, is M male or female?”

Joanna froze.

How would she know if M was a man or a woman?

She had heard that he was a man!

The words escaped her mouth as she said, “A male.”

Millie wanted to laugh but she held it in. She replied, “Oh, a man? I heard she was female. Indeed, the rumors aren’t true!”

Joanna glanced at her. She felt that something was off with Millie’s chattiness.

In the past, wasn’t she unwilling to talk to her and was always icy? What had gotten into her today?

Why was she behaving abnormally?

She had been annoyed. With Millie’s chattiness her mood was even worse!

“I’m leaving.” Joanna strode forward, puffed up in anger like a balloon as though she was going to explode in the next moment.

Millie couldn’t help but smile and ask, “Ms. Lowell, why do I feel like you’re in a bad mood? You’re not pretending to be alright after failing to meet him, are you?

Joanna tumed around immediately and shouted, “Millie, I think you’re just jealous! Rather than sitting here in envy, you should think about what to give Selma that can beat my Snowdrop

She left without another glance backward.

Millie stood in place and couldn’t help the giggles that escaped.

She took her phone and looked at their chat records with a smile.

They’d meet tomorrow at twelve in the afternoon She’d make sure of it.
