She was Tamed

Chapter 41 – About Last Night

Jada dreamt that Lyken was kissing her. 'Ugh! If only I could dream like that every night. If only it wasn't ruined in the end.'

She dreamt that she asked him to stay although he's already engaged. At least for that night and he did. He spent the night with her.

And Jada was right, it was nothing more than a dream. Because when she woke up, she didn't see Lyken next to her.

She reached out for the pillow next to her and hugged it. When her nose touched the cover, her breath hitched. 'Why does it smell like him?'

Nervous, Jada tried recalling everything that happened. From the bar to her room and everything in between. 'Holy! Was it Lyken who danced with me last night?'

'If that's really him, then that means he was the one who brought me home too. He was the one who laid me down on the bed. He was the one who lied next to me. He was the one I kissed.' 'Did that really happen? It can't be because that's just downright stupidity!'

She quickly got off of her bed, headed straight to the bathroom, washed her face and brushed her teeth then ran downstairs. She needs to confirm everything about last night. Those can't be true. 'That would be embarrassing!'

"Good morning boozer!" Robin greeted and she smiled at him then she went straight to the dining room.

"Rose, did you call mama and papa?" she asked, picking a sausage from a nearby plate and biting on it.

"They left early Ja," it was Hoeny. Mama told me they have things to check at some of your branches," Jada nodded as she continued to munch on the sausage.

She kept stealing glances at her friends. Tons of questions are in her mind but she can't think of a right way to ask all of it.

"What happened when Lyken brought you home?" Bambi asked.

'This is it. This is the moment I've been waiting for!'

"He brought me home? Here?" she asked, trying her best to pretend innocent.

"Yes, byotch! You were dancing last night then you blacked out so he brought you home," Ada narrated.

"I-I've no idea. Maybe I was already asleep when we got here," she responded.

"You were drunk last night, miss? Is that why Sir Lyken was carrying you when you got here? He even carried you to your room," Rose butted in.

"Really, Rose?" Honey asked, intrigued.

"Yes, Miss Honey. Sir Lyken asked me to get cold water and a towel. Then he told me to wipe Miss Jada and change her clothes," Rose continued. "Good thing you're still up," it was Kobe.

She felt relieved after hearing what Rose said. It seems like what she dreamt about last night was just a dream.

"Yes Miss, Sir. After changing Miss Jada's clothes, I told Sir Lyken about it and he went to her room to check on her."

"Ahhh, so that's where he was when he came back to our room at dawn," Steve commented.

'What the fuck????????????????? So that means everything that happened last night was true? O-M-G!'

"What happened when Lyken went to your room? Did you guys talk?" Robin pried.

Jada shook her head at her friend, creasing her forehead at the same time. She wanted to tell them nothing happened, but her voice wasn't being cooperative. She can't even let out a fake cough. "Jeez, we should have asked Lyken before he left!" Steve frowned. He sounded like what happened between the two is the most important thing on the planet at that moment. "Ah yeah, why did he leave anyway?" Robin asked.

"There's a problem with Josefin so he went to Singapore to check on her," Kobe explained.

'That's it! He has a problem with Josefin because she called the engagement off. That is probably why he left last night though I asked him to stay.'

'Maybe he was feeling guilty because of what he did. Now he flew to Singapore to apologize and fix things with her. That hurts!'

She can hear her friends talking, but none of what they say seems to register in his brain. In the end, she pretended that she's throwing up then ran upstairs, straight to her room. "That's the side effect of Absolut," Robin shouted behind her.

As soon as she stepped inside her room, she locked the door. Leaning on the wall, she slowly sat down as tears started streaming from her eyes.

'You can't do this Ja. You can't keep Lyken for yourself because it was you who left him in the first place. And now, though it's painful, you can't do anything but accept it.'

Now, someone already own Lyken's heart and it will eventually become permanent. As his ex, Jada knows that she has no say in that.

That means it's already too late for them. Even if she gives him her forgiveness, she can't take him back because he now belongs to someone else.

As she thinks about things, that is all she can really do. To forgive him for everything and forget about all the bitterness that they went through.

She can only save what's left of them, their friendship. That is all there is between them, friendship. It can't and will never be more than that, ever.

Jada woke up after hearing loud knocks on my door. She didn't know she fell asleep. Last she remembered, she was walling.

When she looked at the clock, it surprised her that it was already past three in the afternoon. Her stomach started rumbling so she forced herself out of bed.

"Get dressed, we're going out!" It was Honey.

"Where are we going?"

"We're fitting our gowns today, so we're visiting my designer at Benitez Tower," she informed her.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

Honey looked like she was on cloud nine as she told her that. And although she doesn't have the energy, Jada nodded at Honey and grabbed her towel to start preparing. Honey's about to get married, her best friend. Regardless of the pain that she's feeling, she can't steal the spotlight from her.

She wants to support her in the most important event of her life, their life. So even if she's mourning over the death of her love life, she has to set it aside in the meantime. She forced herself to enter the bathroom to take a bath. It took her an hour to finish, crying while showering, then she went out to get dressed.

From her luggage, she pulled out a mustard racerback and black ripped shorts. Her hair was tied in a high ponytail.

Facing the dresser, she applied a thin amount of lip gloss, put on her hoop earrings and her favorite sneakers. To hide the puffiness of her eyes, she put her sunglasses on.

When she stepped out of the room, she inhaled and exhaled several times before proceeding down the stairs. Sooner or later, she'll have to face them and she has no choice but to pretend she's fine to not create trouble for anyone.

She hasn't planned how to get along with them, but for a start, she has to busy herself and focus on helping her best friend with her wedding. That should be enough for now.
