Chapter 89 Answer Me or I Won’t Leave

Nicholas wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.

He looked at Albert and sneered. “You can’t handle this anymore.”

“Nicholas, look at you. How did you become like this?”.

“Didn’t I learn it from you? The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. What right do you have to criticize me?” Nicholas smiled, full of rebellion and cunning.

“When was it your turn to teach me a lesson? What I’m talking about is you and Nancy. When Grandpa left, he told you to treat her well, love her and protect her. What happened to that?”

“Look at all the damn things you’ve done. You’re not willing to reconcile until I’m mad, right?” Albert was furious.

Nicholas’ sharp eyes met Albert. “Grandpa might be irritated for what you’ve done.”

“Nicholas, I’m not your father if I don’t teach you a lesson today.”

Albert was so angry he slapped him in the façe.

At this point, Sarah came over, grabbed Albert’s hand, and tossed it aside.

“I asked you to come here to solve problems, not to intensify conflicts.”

“Look what your son did!” Albert was so angry that he slammed the door and walked out.

Sarah stared at Nicholas coldly.

Nicholas also looked at her. “If I’m not mistaken, you stopped this slap for me, just to avoid intensifying our conflict, you don’t want me to hate him even more. But it’s useless. I’ll never be able to forgive him.”

“You really deserve a beating. Have you ever wondered what Nancy thought about throwing Madelline’s birthday party with all the fanfare?”

Nicholas felt extremely unhappy when she mentioned Nancy, especially when he thought of her leaving with Christian.

His voice was quite jealous. “She doesn’t care at all.”

That actually made him feel defeated.

Before the birthday party, he imagined countless times that Nancy would tell him she doesn’t like

1.

Or acted coquettishly and asked him not to hold birthday party for another woman, then he would cancel everything today.

He waited and waited…

Until today, the moment when the party started, but she didn’t even call.

She even came to this party as if nothing happened, which showed how much she didn’t care.

“How do you know she doesn’t care? She told you herself?”

“Is there a need to say it directly? Her behavior has already said everything.”

Then, Nicholas suddenly found a place and sat down silently.

The others also became silent.

He was depressed today. He didn’t feel happy at all.

Sarah walked over, took a tissue and handed it to him. “Women sometimes never mean what they say. The more they care, the stronger they are, the less likely they are to say it out loud. Go home and coax her. You can work out the misunderstanding together. it’s not too late now.”

“You mean she actually cares?”

Nicholas raised his head; his eyes suddenly brightened a little with a hint of shine.

“You know her feelings for you. Mom just doesn’t want you to regret it. Instead of wasting time here, it’s better to go home as soon as possible.”

As soon as Sarah finished speaking, Nicholas ran out immediately.

Thirty minutes later, Nicholas got home.

It was almost early morning.

Nancy had just fallen asleep after turning on the bed for a long time. She suddenly felt as if something heavy was pressing down on her and her body started to sink.

She was startled and scared.

She immediately smelled a familiar smell.

Then, suddenly, Nicholas’ slender body pressed down. When he spoke, the pungent smell of wine hit her face, “Nancy, I know you went to the birthday party today.”

Nancy was shocked because she had never considered telling him.

He might know it from Madelline.

She had been discovered, so she had no intention of hiding it, but it should be okay to remain

silent.

When he saw she kept her mouth shut and said nothing. Nicholas asked again, “Why didn’t you

tell me?”

“What are you talking about?”

She really didn’t know what to say.

All words seemed too weak to describe the meaning.

“Why did you go? Tell me, are you unhappy?” Nicholas got tipsier.

Nancy didn’t want to answer this question at all. She just wanted some quiet and to sleep, peacefully.

She pushed Nicholas away.

But he pressed her so tightly that it was almost airtight.

Still drunk, Nicholas said domineeringly, “If you don’t answer me, you’re not allowed to leave.”

Nancy raised her head to meet his drunken eyes, and said, “Nicholas, I don’t think there is any wife in the world who can remain indifferent while watching her husband always serve another

woman.”

“Madelline is your treasure, your favorite. You want to give her the best of everything in the world, but what about me? In your heart, I am just a doll without feelings and can’t feel pain. Play with it when you’re happy and throw it aside when you’re upset.”

“I don’t have the right to say no, and I can’t influence your decision. Even if you want to pick the stars and the moon for her, I can only watch helplessly. Could it be that you won’t go if I say no?”

Nancy felt she had enough sorrow today.

She had been trying hard to restrain herself from thinking about these or those sad things.

But he forced her to admit it repeatedly, forcing her to face it.

Nicholas, how cruel are you?

“Yeah, I won’t go.”

Nancy never expected to hear this answer.

She was shocked, almost believing she heard it wrong.

Nicholas’ voice repeated clearly in her ears, “As long as you say no, I won’t go.” Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

Nancy looked at him with a wry smile. “Nicholas, stop joking. How could you..

Before she finished her words, Nicholas interrupted her, “Nancy, I’m not kidding. I mean everything I said.”

His gaze looked so real. His eyes were extremely dark and deep, like a deep well that seemed to draw people in.

Nancy tried hard to remain sober.

But I no longer have the courage to believe you, Nicholas.

For some reason, that suit and Christian’s unparalleled handsome face flashed suddenly and appeared in Nicholas’ mind.

Then, he grabbed Nancy, his tone became cold and severe, “If you don’t believe me, then who do you believe?”

“Christian Zayn?”

Nancy raised her head when hearing him mention Christian.

Nicholas was even irritated. “I remember I warned you not to get close to him. You didn’t take my words seriously?”

“Then what about you? I also said I don’t like you meeting Madelline. Have you distanced yourself from her and cut off contact? Nicholas, why are you always like this, so arrogant, possessive, and unreasonable?”

Arrogant, possessive, and unreasonable.

She couldn’t believe she used these words to describe him.

“Is this the kind of person I am in your heart?” Nicholas asked while holding back his rage, his dark eyes fixed on Nancy’s.
