Chapter 3184 Humans Helping The Vampires
Chapter 3184 Humans Helping The Vampires
At night, Nathan returned to his room, and Colin brought him a basin of hot water to wash his face.
Nathan washed his face and sat down, feeling a bit tired.
Unable to hold back, Colin asked, "Mr. Cross, what's wrong? Is it not going well with the attack against the vampires?"
Nathan sighed. "The people are not united, everyone has their own agendas, and they all want to conserve their strength and consume the strength of others. The day to launch a final attack against the vampires seems far away. I now understand why war history often repeats itself."
Colin smiled and replied, "The vampires have risen, and the countries of Adrune are in a dire situation, yet they still have their own agendas. They are hopeless. But the vampires are wreaking havoc in those people's own backyards and they are not so worried. So, we Aplothians who came to support shouldn't be worried either. When they come to their senses and are willing to use all their strength to fight the vampires, it will still not be too late to launch a final attack against the vampires."
Nathan nodded. "Yes. We can only wait for now. We will strike when they are ready."
Suddenly, Colin remembered something and said to Nathan, "By the way, Mrs. Cross called today, but I didn't want to disturb you because you were in a meeting with the deputy commanders. Would you like to call her back now, Mr. Cross?"
Penny called!
Nathan's spirits were lifted, and he felt as if all his fatigue had disappeared. A warm smile spread across his face as he said, "Okay. You can go now."
"Understood."
Once Colin left the room, Nathan picked up his phone and called Penny.
It was nighttime in Adrune, but it was noon in Eurasia. The video call was quickly connected.
Penny was in her office with her female bodyguard, Ava, standing behind her.
She was now toward the end of her pregnancy and glowing with maternal radiance.
When she saw Nathan, her face lit up.
"Hubby, you're finally free now."
Nathan smiled and said, "Yeah, I'm finally done talking shit with those guys."
Penny couldn't help but roll her eyes at Nathan. “What are you talking about? Be serious."
Nathan flashed a bitter smile. "It
can't be helped. Nowadays,
everyone wants to come out on top and make others suffer. They keep making excuses and won't launch a full-scale attack against the
Love
vampires. The situation has reached a stalemate."
Realizing that discussing these matters with his wife was not appropriate, Nathan quickly changed the subject and asked with a smile, "By the way, how's the progress of the research on the serum to combat the blood virus at Cross Group?"
Penny replied, "That's exactly what I wanted to talk to you about. Cross Group has made some progress in our research on the bondslaves. However, we still haven't made any breakthroughs in developing a serum to combat the blood virus."
Nathan comforted her, "It's okay. Take it one step at a time.”Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
“Although we haven't developed a serum to combat the blood virus, we have discovered that the vampire's blood virus seems to have been gically modified by human science, which is why it spreads so rapidly."
Nathan was surprised. "What?"
"Several key members of the Cross
Group research team have
et
suggested that if the blood virus was gically modified by humans, then we need to find out which human research facility did it and obtain all the relevant data on the modified blood virus. If we can do that, then we can easily develop a serum to combat the blood virus."
"Are you suggesting that I use my influence to investigate which human research facility is responsible for helping the vampires and improving the blood virus for them and that you want me to retrieve all the relevant data on the virus?"
"I know it won't be easy, but you are the President, and if you can't do it, then no one in Eurasia can."
Nathan nodded and said, "Okay, I'll immediately order the intelligence department to investigate. If there are indeed humans helping the vampires to improve the blood virus, I will punish them severely."
