Chapter 112
An agreement was made to continue the journey after the rain let up, and Elise headed into the bathroom, leaving the alphas alone. Half an hour later, she emerged from the bathroom with her roots freshly dyed into temporary dark brown locks.
With a grimace on her face, she hated every second of it. She tried not to look too much in the mirror as she reached for the door.
This time she headed out of the bathroom fully dressed in a white tank top and jean shorts paired with sneakers and a checked jacket.
She s
still couldn’t figure out why humans had impractical shoes. Was she supposed to run in these shoes? She wondered.
The moment she came out, her eyes locked with Rygan, who had also changed from his pack attire to a new one a grey underneath a biker leather jacket and jeans, with Hayden wearing a black long-sleeve top.

Their alpha stature made the tops appear tight compared to their towering build in those clothes, but they look as human as they could get “I’ll go down to the mess hall to find something for us to eat before we get into the car since the rain has stopped,” she suggested.
“I can do that,” Rygan suggests, but Elise shakes her head.
“No, I need the walk anyway, and I need to dry my head from this poison in it, and don’t worry, I can talk to you guys on phones and our powers,” she says before she goes out the door, leaving both males.
“I think I should follow her,” Hayden says.
“She will be fine; she seems like she needs the walk and alone time to think; she is like that sometimes; we just let her be,” Rygan says, and that irks Hayden, his eyes twitching in irritation
“Is that why you wouldn’t stop looking at her? Even when I warned you to stop, might I remind you she is my wife?” Hayden says, breaking the silence, with Rygan turning towards him.
“I cannot control what my wolf feels or how he still wants to take care of her. Yes, we have history, but-

both are from ‘ancient history, so I suggest you stop looking at my mate, mine, you do not know “Just like what Elise has been through in the past year because of you and your pack,” Hayden calls with a snarl.
But that snarl meant more than a warning, but a challenge-that he was ready to fight Rygan to the death if he stepped out of place. “Why hasn’t she come back then?” Rygan snarls out in irritation, thinking Hayden was taunting him that Elise would ever go back to him.
“What?”
“No, I mean, why hasn’t Elise come back? It’s been minutes, we need to go check,” Hayden says, pulling the duffle back with their belongings on his shoulders as the race doesn’t have a mess hall.
And the scene they meet is unbelievable.
(A few minutes earlier at the mess hall)
The last time Elise was in the human lands was with Hayden, whom she accompanied during a meeting with his human acquaintance and far-out old witches they knew lived in the human lands.

Elise didn’t have a good memory since the last time she was close to the human borders, he was almost shot to death.
Though it was on the outskirts of town, he showed her their small towns and the food that humans ate. Most of their foods. lacked actual taste, but the one that stood out the most was the ice cream, so as they walked down to the mess hall, that was the first thing she thought to order.
“I’m sorry, but we’re out of it, young lady,” the old man says to her. Now that Elise was ticked, she tried to calm the nerves that wanted to explode since she heard about her ex-father’s relationship with the hunt guild boss.
“Then I’ll take coffee instead with croissants,” she tells the man, who nods before going into the back kitchen. When she tapped in, she had barely taken notice of the filled hall before, but now that her hopes of a sweet savory snack had been crushed, she took that moment to look around the room.
For some reason, her wolf disturbs her with a low growl of distrust toward a group of men and decides to listen in on one of the group’s conversations.
“I’m telling you, the old man says that he will finally get revenge for your brother’s death because of that female wolf b**h,NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.
boss.”
“Don’t worry about her; right now this map would lead us to those b**ds holding the boss prize, the b**s son, and if we have that, that old wolf Dexton won’t have anything to bargain with our boss, and we can exact our revenge on all of them.”
Elise stiffened; they were part of the human hunt guild, and one was related to the boss. She peered at the small paper on the desk; it could be a clue or a trap. “Be calm, Elise,” she whispered. She was outnumbered, and this could alert Dexton’s men if she starts anything.
She turned back to the counter instead of waiting for her drink. Look at that **y girl standing there; with the way she’ dressed, she is asking us to **k her,” one of the males said before the other males snicker.
She grips the counter to control her anger and disgust. “Be calm, El,” she mutters over and over like a mantra.
But her bubble of illusion burst when she heard the footsteps of one of the males gaining close to her. She heaved out a sigh of relief as her order was rounded up in a bag, she paid in human money, and she quickly carried them to leave.
But just as she was about to leave, her way was blocked by one of the men. The smell of musk and blood made her sick, and she wondered what innocent beings had fallen prey to these b**ds.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” The man says, “Where are you going, pretty lady? What’s a s**y brunette doing here all alone?” The male says..
“I mean, if you give me a chance, I promise to lick you better than this ice cream,” he says, dipping his hands into his cup and licking it clean. Now she was very disgusted and wanted to leave.
Elise decides not to say a word as she rolls her eyes and turns away, but she is held back by a rough hand. “No one ignores or says no to us, but if you want to pay with your family life for saying no to a hunt guild male, we will make you miserable,”
he snaps.
Now she has tried to control herself, but she had just enough, as just as the man was about to touch her***, she held onto his arm, her strength shocking him. “You better let me go, you little b**h.”
Elise’s elbows slammed into his chin as his head slammed into the counter, causing an uproar. Now that she was p**d, over a dozen men stood up, ready to hound her for attacking their friend. Another male decided to wish an attack, and she saw him coming and slammed the glass of ice cream on his head.
That was the moment the hall opened up, and Rygan and Hayden walked in and took in the scene of Elise and two males on the floor.
“How about we let the lady be? She didn’t want to be touched in the first place,” Rygan says, and the men snicker.
“We are not leaving that b**h? She will give us what we want,” one says with a sick lick of his lip.
They knew this wasn’t going to end peacefully, and in no way were they going to leave her without a brawl.
“Well, this is going to be fun, Hayden mutters as he grabs one of the males close to him and swings a left h**k to the man who falls to the floor.
“We warned them, didn’t we?” Rygan says, his muscles flexing, he cracked his knuckles and neck rest for the brawl, and he has been looking for a way to release all his frustrations and anger, and this was perfect.
They brushed through the crowd with clean attacks, but in no way used their powers; owers; it was too dangerous.
During the squabble, Elise sneaked in the paper from one of the males who had no idea. The moment she makes it out of their middle, she heads to the kitchen, lighting a cloth and sticking it up to the sprinkler. The moment it bursts, sprinkling water and causing a distraction, she sends a message to both alphas.
*No bill killing, just run!” She yells to their minds that even in their normal form, their speed was far too formidable for mortal human males, who took too long to notice as they got into the truck and drove out of the motel into the darkness of the night.
Elise did dare look back but clutched onto the map that could have her son’s location. And for the first time in a while.
She was hopeful.
