Night of Destiny

Chapter 2583

“No need. You can return to your room!” Ezekiel said coldly. Yunna maintained a charming smile and replied, “Alright, boss. Now that you’re back safely, I can rest assured and go to bed.” She smiled charmingly and turned to leave.

Harmony could tell that Ezekiel had no interest in Yunna whatsoever. It was Yunna who was trying to catch his attention, going beyond her duties as an assistant. Her behavior that night, for instance, was not appropriate for an assistant at all.

If Harmony wasn’t present, would Yunna have followed Ezekiel into his room and prepared his bath?

That night, probably due to what Harmony had said earlier in the day, Ezekiel seemed even more passionate. It was too much for Harmony. I swear this man is punishing me!

She wished he could change his approach, for this method was truly draining her.

“Well? Are you pleased?” he asked, holding Harmony, who was drenched in sweat, in his arms. It seemed that if she expressed dissatisfaction, he would do it all over again.

“No, no, I’m very pleased. Let’s rest! Don’t overexert yourself,” Harmony mustered up the energy to respond. NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

“I see you’re still full of energy. You must be unable to sleep. How about we do it again?” Ezekiel chuckled softly, leaning against her forehead, his eyes clearly still unsatisfied.

Harmony quickly pushed him away. “Are you trying to kill me?!”

Ezekiel burst into laughter, and he leaned down to kiss her cheek. “Alright, let’s sleep!”

Harmony got up bright and early the next morning. Though she wasn’t a workaholic, she was very punctual when it came to filming. If she was late, many extras and other actors would have to wait for

her. Since she entered this industry, she had never made anyone wait for her to shoot. This was her professionalism.

When Sera came to fetch her, she saw Yunna emerging from the elevator, dressed in a brighter suit that day.

Upon seeing Harmony, Yunna greeted her with a smile, showing no signs of fear. “Good morning, Miss Mayo!”

Harmony was vexed. It was evident Yunna wanted to annoy her, yet she had to smile back. Then again, this wasn’t her first rodeo.

“Miss Yunna, you should just focus on your job. As for other matters, you don’t need to meddle too much, Harmony advised her.

Yunna laughed and replied, “Miss Mayo, you don’t understand my job, so naturally, you don’t know the extent of my responsibilities.”

“I may not know the extent of your responsibilities, but I do know that subordinates should maintain a certain distance from their superiors and not behave like you, Harmony warned, her eyes flashing.

Yunna had her own strengths. She had been able to stay by Ezekiel’s side all these years because of her excellent work abilities. Having worked with Ezekiel for three years, she had become familiar with his work habits and could meet his expectations.

“Thank you for the reminder, Miss Mayo. However, you should also know your place. This is between my boss and me. You don’t need to interfere too much,” Yunna retorted.

Having been in the entertainment industry for such a long time, Harmony certainly wasn’t easily intimidated. While she didn’t bully others, it didn’t mean she could be bullied.

“Miss Yunna, if I were you, I would return to my room right now, pack my belongings, or take out my computer and send out a few more resumes, hoping to find a good company,” Harmony said calmly.

Yunna looked at Harmony in disbelief. Harmony didn’t want to say anything more; she turned and left.

Yunna couldn’t help but clench her fists. Impossible! Ezekiel will never fire me! I’m such a valuable asset; Ezekiel will never dismiss me because of a word from Harmony!

Once inside the MPV, Sera asked curiously, “Are you sure Mr. Weiss will fire this assistant?”
