Never Blinded by Love (Linda and Wilson)

William quickly stripped off his blood-stained shirt.

He wondered how much Lucy hated Linda for her to go this far.

If that blow had landed on Linda, the consequences could have been severe.

Linda gently cleaned the wound with antiseptic.

Some of the cuts were deep, and it would hurt when pressure was applied. Even though William didn't say anything. Linda could feel he was enduring a lot of pain.

"If it's too painful, I can get you a towel to bite on," she kindly suggested.

I'm fine

"It's okay. I'm fine," William replied through gritted teeth. He clenched his fists tightly.

The pain he felt now was nothing compared to surviving the fire and what Linda had gone through when she lost her child, let alone the pain he brought him. Linda applied the antiseptic and blew on the wounds to ease the sting.

William was suddenly reminded of their childhood.

He remembered their first meeting when his leg was injured. The kidnapper had tossed him a bottle of medicine and told him to apply it himself.

He had cried from the pain, and Linda had comforted him while applying the medicine. She said, "The pain will disappear with each blow." Thinking of those old memories, William felt a pang of regret.

He couldn't bring himself to mention those times to Linda. They were wounds that would never fully heal

for her.

Linda focused on treating his injuries and didn't know his thoughts

Once she finished, the lobby manager arrived with an update.

"Ms. Felix, Mr. Wilson, the police have taken the perpetrators away. They need both of you to make a

statement,"

Linda nodded. "Prepare the car."

With that, she stood up and walked into the bathroom to wash her hands, leaving William to himself,

Since William's shirt was ruined, he needed a new one. As the high and mighty CEO, he couldn't possibly

wear torn clothes.

Jay had gone to a nearby mall to buy some clothes and brought them to him.

"Ms. Felix, are you okay?"

Facing Jay's concern, Linda felt the need to respond to him.

Looking back over the years, Jay had been one of the kindest people from the Wilsons to her. Though he had to follow William's orders, he rarely made things difficult for her. She remembered that he was the one who helped her deliver the bento boxes she prepared for William. He had even encouraged William to eat them, though William never did. So, she had no reason to blame him.

In plain terms, he was just an employee doing his job.

"I'm fine," she said to Jay.

Turning to William, she added, "You can use my bathroom for ten minutes."

After that, she settled on the couch and looked at her phone.

The incident earlier had been filmed by passersby and posted online.

Samson, Linda, Luke, and even Jimmy, who was in Sorland, had sent her messages to check on her.

Many online comments praised William for his love for Linda, saying he had risked his life to protect her. They

speculated that any other girl would be overwhelmed with emotion and might even be tempted to

repay such devotion by marrying him.

However, Linda was no longer in that phase of life. She had faced countless setbacks with him and had

hit rock bottom long ago. She couldn't be so naive.

She wasn't a fool anymore.

To be exact, she was once naive, but not anymore.
