Chapter 63
Chapter 63
Arabella turned around, ran upstairs quickly and went into the bedroom.
...
In the bedroom...
Arabella was sitting on the side of the bed. The scene that Kenneth and Sadie walked off the lawn
together kept playing in her mind. While chatting about something, they looked at each other in the Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
eyes and smiled.
The cool breeze blew gently, and the hemline of Sadie's dress swept across Kenneth's trousers. They
looked so intimate.
She couldn't believe that he brought a woman home today.
Then what about her?
Was that woman his lover?
Arabella wrung her skirt with her slim fingers. She felt so sad and indignant that she could hardly
breathe.
Then, the bedroom door was opened and Kenneth walked in.
He was here!
Arabella looked up at him and said, "Mr. Lucero, you're back?"
Kenneth had seen her on the lawn, but she ran swiftly upstairs and hid in the bedroom. Kenneth smiled
and said, "I brought a guest home today, Sadie Heath. She is the director of communications of the
Lucero Group."
That woman turned out to be the communications director. She had heard that most of the staff in the
public relations department were beautiful women who knew how to deal with men and capture their
hearts.
"Oh, I have seen her."
"What do you think of her?"
"She has a pretty face as well as a nice body," Arabella responded. She paused for a second as she
spoke, and she pretended to be cool about it while her skirt was so crumpled. She continued, "Well, do
you want to make Ms. Heath your real girlfriend, Mr. Lucero?"
Kenneth raised his straight eyebrow and said with a sigh, "You know I am a matured man, and you
insist on making a clean break with me. Perhaps one day you will pack up and run away if you are
done with the Snyder family. I can't just remain single and die alone, right?"
Arabella snorted. Couldn't he live without women?
"Besides, as you said, Grandma is getting old and she really wants to have a great-grandson. I need a
woman to bear me a son."
Arabella couldn't refute this excuse. His Grandmother, Mrs. Sharon, had gone to the temple to pray for
having a great-grandson soon.
She dropped her eyes and seemed a little unhappy.
Kenneth came to her, looked down at her head and reached out his hand to pinch her cheek. He
asked, "What's wrong?"
Arabella pulled away and said, "Don't touch me."
"What's going on here?" Kenneth gave a chuckle and asked again. He squeezed lightly her face under
the veil with his fingers. As she was a girl in her late teens, the skin on her face was so fresh and
tender.
It felt smooth as silk.
When Arabella was about to slap his hand, Sadie appeared at the door and said, "Ken, you..."
The smile froze on her lips as she saw Arabella.
Arabella was sitting on the edge of the bed, looking like a angry little girl. Kenneth was standing beside
the bed with one hand in his pocket and the other pinching her cheek. He was gazing at her with his
gentle eyes and looked exactly like a bad boy teasing the girl he liked.
Sadie was too stunned to say anything. The Kenneth Lucero she knew was the authoritative leader in
the business world, who was both powerful and levelheaded.
She had never seen or even dared to imagine that he would be like that.
