Chapter 2371
Chapter 2371
Rosalie pointed at me, but Jordan held onto her unrelentingly. Rosalie didn't have time to open fire.
She stared at the handgun right in front of her, and she asked Jordan in disbelief, "You are aiming the gun at me?"
"Your gun skills are fast, but don't forget who taught you." Jordan couldn't care about Rosalie's feelings now. With an expressionless face, he warned, "Put the handgun down right now and leave the group from this day onwards and I'll pretend that nothing happened."
"Are you dismissing me?" Rosalie's beautiful eyes turned dark.
"It's your choice," Jordan stated calmly. "I told you when I recruited you, the day you turn your back on me, is the day I'll take your life."
Rosalie had still yet to give up. Hence, she raised her handgun higher and looked at me. Tears started to well up in her eyes. "I didn't forget. You gave me this life and because of that, I can't see you destroy yourself, no matter the consequences." "It's none of your business." Jordan's tone was a little harsh, just like how he used to insult Hendrix. He was indifferent and aloof. "Rosalie, my patience is limited."
Rosalie smirked and laughed sorrowfully. Her eyes were completely swimming with tears. But despite the tears, she managed to force out a laugh. "Huh! You are going to end me anyway. Why not let me get rid of this now?"
As she spoke, Rosalie's well-defined fingers pulled the trigger.
The gun fired with a bang!
A bullet shot out, but it wasn't Rosalie's.
In an instant, Jordan had pulled the trigger and killed her.
He killed the woman who would sacrifice her life to get rid of obstacles for him.
The gun fell from her hand with a clatter and Rosalie dropped to the ground. Those eyes were staring blankly ahead, refusing to close. It was like she wasn't ready to accept the fact that he had ended her life just like that.
Silence fell in the room.
Coldness crept up from my heart and spread to my limbs. I stared dumbly at Rosalie's dead body and was once again impacted by the shock of death. I subconsciously wrapped my arms around myself.
That's right. This was Jordan Marshall's true form.

It didn't matter if it was his loved one or enemy. The one he cared most about was still himself. Pretty much everyone else could be a sacrificial tool at any time.
After a long while, Jordan's expression gentled and he kneeled to close Rosalie's eyes.
When he got up, he looked down at me and his voice turned cold. "Hendrix never changed, and you never wanted to love me, right?"
I sat quietly on the sofa and listened to his words. I didn't answer but hugged myself more tightly.
As long as I am with this person, death would constantly surround me. It would never go away. This feeling was suffocating me, choking me. "Arianna, would you only bat an eye at me when I'm dead?" Jordan asked again in a low voice, concerned about himself once more.Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.
"No," I answered, trembling.
Jordan thought for a moment and then sneered "A moment ago, I was thinking if you would stop and think about me once I've changed. But i the next second, I understand that it's not right. You hate me. I'm afraid that even if I die in front of your eyes I this very second, you wouldn't bat an eye."
Why would he ask such a question if he already knew the answer?
I pursed my lips and couldn't help but worry about Hendrix.
Rosalie was dead, and Jordan had seen through us. One step further was a bottomless abyss. Yet if we took a step back, it would be hard to keep our lives.
We were standing at the edge of the cliff, and with just a gentle push, there would be no hope left...
