How About If It Found Out?
When she was walking to Vega’s room, she thought. “How about if it found out?”
She thought that she must lie and cover up her pregnancy, but of course Vega would ask her about what was wrong with her. So, she couldn’t cover up her pregnancy.
“Then, what should I do?” She thought.
The only way was to tell the truth.
She was sad to find out she was pregnant and did not have a gastrointestinal disease. She didn’t know whether Dion would want to be responsible for her child or not.
What if Dion doesn’t want to be responsible for her child and instead leaves her? What if Vega finds out and gets fired?
Instead, if that happened, she would have been fired and had to raise her child alone without knowing how she could earn money. That’s what she thought.
“God! Why has it happened?” Sonia asked in her heart.
“What will it be? What should I do to raise my child?”
“Will Dion be responsible or not? Please, answer me, God!”
At that moment, Sonia’s eyes filled with tears. She wanted to cry, but she tried to hold it back because she was afraid that someone would see her and ask. “What’s happened?”
After she arrived at Doctor Vega’s room, Vega was already waiting for her to hear the result. Vega immediately asked. “How is the result?”
Sonia immediately lowered her head while she informed her weakly of her pregnancy. “Vega, it turns out that I’m pregnant.”
“Wow! Congratulations! I’m happy to hear that,” said Vega enthusiastically. Her eyes lit up because she was happy to find out that Sonia was pregnant.
“Who are you pregnant with?” asked Vega as she stroked Sonia’s stomach.
“With my boyfriend,” Sonia answered briefly.
“Have you told your boyfriend about this good news?” asked Vega.
Sonia immediately shook her head as she spoke. “No.”
“Why?” Vega felt curious about Sonia’s reason. According to her, Sonia should have informed her boyfriend earlier because that’s happy news, and she is so sure that Sonia’s boyfriend will be happy to hear that.
“I’m afraid,” Sonia told her.
“Afraid? Why?” Vega asked curiously while she frowned. Because according to her, there’s nothing that Sonia should be afraid of.
“I’m afraid that he won’t admit that my child is his child, and he won’t accept this fact because the child is pregnant out of wedlock. We don’t get married.”
Sonia expressed her fear by lying. In fact, there’s more that makes her afraid than that.
“I wonder if he’s willing to admit and accept this child or not. What do you think?” asked Sonia.
“I think, of course, he will admit and accept that child. That child is also his child.”
“A child is a gift from God. So, I’m sure he’ll accept your child,” said Vega enthusiastically.
“Who is your boyfriend?” asked Vega.
“Hmmh… That’s a secret!”
Sonia said it quickly. She tried to cover up the secret so that Vega wouldn’t find out about it.
She didn’t want Vega to know that secret. She knows that secret will be found out one day, but she hopes that secret will be found out ten years later.
“Who?” asked Vega curiously while she stared intently into Sonia’s eyes because she was curious that Sonia didn’t want to mention her boyfriend’s name.
In her heart, she asked, “Why does Sonia not want to mention her boyfriend’s name or talk about her boyfriend? She usually loves talking to me about everything, but why won’t she tell me the name of her boyfriend this time?”
“Well! As I said, that’s a secret!” said Sonia.Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
That made Vega unable to ask any further questions, because if Vega asked any further, of course that wouldn’t be polite. So she could only exhale her breath.
“Maybe this is not the right time for me to know about that.” Vega said in her heart:
“Hmmh… Indeed, why? Doesn’t your boyfriend want you to get pregnant?” Vega asked the reason.
“It doesn’t like that,” Sonia said.
“Then, why?” Vega wanted to know the real reason.
When she got that question, Sonia was panicked. Her brain tried to think hard. “What should I answer?”
“The problem is, my boyfriend is close to my best friend. I feel bad for my own best friend because I know she is in love with my boyfriend. My boyfriend told me that he was never in love with my best friend.” Sonia’s answer made Vega feel even more suspicious.
Vega immediately frowned and looked sharply at Sonia. Sonia’s attitude of not wanting to mention her boyfriend’s name alone has made her suspicious.
That time, it was added with that supposition. Of course, that made her suspect that the best friend Sonia was referring to was herself, and Sonia’s boyfriend was Dion, because she didn’t see Sonia close to anyone else at Rege Hospital more than she was close to him.
“Who’s your boyfriend? He’s Dion, right?” asked Vega.
Vega tried to ask in a casual tone, but the fact was that the tone was different, like she was angry. That made Sonia’s eyes bulge because she was so shocked.
Her face turned even paler, and her body was colder. Her heart was beating very fast.
In her heart, she said. “Dion? So she already knows about all this?”
“Oh my god! What should I do?”
She tried to think. Fortunately, she had an idea to turn Vega’s attention to the patient case study.
She thought that would work because Vega is always focused on her patient’s condition. So she did that quickly. “Hmmh…”
“By the way, Vega, how about that patient earlier?”
Fortunately, Vega’s focus was diverted, and Vega gave the long answer.
“Oh. It’s a relief that he can still be saved!” Sonia felt lucky.
“Yes. I’m also grateful that I was able to help him earlier,” Vega said.
“By the way, about your boyfriend: who’s your boyfriend? He’s Dion, right?”
She asked deliberately and brought it back to the main topic. Actually, Vega has known that tactic. So she just followed and did that.
“That’s a secret!” said Sonia emotionally as she stood up.
After that, she asked Vega for permission to leave the place. “By the way, Vega, I’m sorry! I must call the next patient!”
Getting that reaction, Vega could only relent. So, she said.
“Well! If you need help telling your boyfriend, just tell me!”
“I’ll help you. You need to know that.”
“Okay. Thank you!” Sonia thanked her.
“You’re welcome.”
