A few people quickly surrounded two individuals as they walked into the café.

Such a commotion could only signal one thing–these were big stars.

Seeing how cautiously the crew members were behaving, Natalie became curious. When she caught sight of the newcomers, her expression changed dramatically. Her shock was evident on her face.

It was Austin. Natalie could hardly believe her eyes. It was really him.

Then, she recognized the actress beside him as the recently award–winning actress. They strolled in together, both handsome and beautiful, creating a visually pleasing sight.

For a brief moment, Natalie’s mind went blank as she focused entirely on Austin. When he spotted her, he nodded in acknowledgment, looking at her like an ordinary friend.

The look in his eyes lacked the confusion and passion from that unforgettable night three years ago. Instantly, she snapped back to reality.

In today’s world, even a little bit of flirtation could easily fade over time. After three years, even passionate feelings could turn to indifference. Perhaps Austin had forgotten all about her.

She quickly composed herself, smiled brightly, and called out, “Mr. Powell, it’s been a while.”

Upon hearing her voice, a flicker of darkness crossed his eyes. However, the change was subtle, hidden beneath the warm, inviting lights of the café. It went unnoticed by those

around him.

Inside, he couldn’t help but think, “What a heartless woman.

Outside the café, Skylar arrived but did not go inside. Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

She stood by her car, observing the bustling café and realizing they were filming. It wasn’t the right time for her to go inside. Leaning against her car, she waited quietly, lost in thought.

Natalie’s words felt like a thunderclap, shaking her to the core. It confirmed that she hadn’t mistaken the man in the MPV.

But if it was indeed Joe, she couldn’t help but wonder why he was in Jipsburg and why he had not shown up or contacted her over the past few years.

For a moment, the stillness of the night made her mind swell with questions. Yet, the more she thought about it, the less she could find a concrete answer.

Taking a deep breath, she tried to calm her racing thoughts but found it impossible. She couldn’t help but let out a light laugh.

She found herself in a whirlwind of thoughts, wondering that if it truly was Joe, she would definitely ask him why he had vanished for so long without a word. She wanted to ask him what the promises he had made back then meant

After getting lost in her chaotic thoughts for a while, Natalie stepped out of the café and walked toward Skylar.

She glanced over at Natalie.

Seeing Skylar standing there in just a coat, exposed to the evening wind, Natalie felt a pang of concern. “Why are you dressed so lightly?” she asked.

“I’m not cold,” Skylar replied.

Natalie couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow. It was hard to believe she wasn’t cold. The temperature had dropped recently, and she had to wear a cashmere coat at night.

But seeing the heavy look on Skylar’s face made her heartache. At that moment, she felt calmer.

She regretted having impulsively revealed so much to Skylar. But the words had already been spoken, and the deed was done. There was no room for regret.

She took out her phone. “This is a video I captured from the surveillance footage. He appeared with a woman for just three or four minutes. He looks just like Joe, but he doesn’t recognize me.”
