Revealing
Jaime looked at her in surprise. “But why?” he asked.
“He thinks he can choose that rat instead of me. He has got something coming.” she said.
Jaime smiled happily that his plans were working. His plans were to break Jessie and Alexander so that he could have her to himself.
Meanwhile Alexander held Marissa’s hand and led her towards the podium and then he removed his hands and walked to where the microphone was and called everyone’s attention.
Jaime smiled that his plans were almost complete and he would have everything he wanted including the contract.
Everyone in the room turned to look at him, and the room fell silent. Alexander took a deep breath and began to speak.
“Thank you all for coming tonight,” he said, his voice strong and confident. “I’m so grateful to have all of you here to celebrate this momentous occasion. And before we begin, I just want to say a few words.”
He paused, and the room was silent, waiting for him to continue.
“The past few months have been some of the most challenging of my life,” he said, his voice softer now. “But through it all, there’s been one person who has been there for me every step of the way. She’s been my rock, my support, and my friend. And I want to thank her publicly, in front of all of you, for everything she’s done for me.”
He turned to Marissa, who was standing nearby, a look of surprise and happiness on her face.
“Marissa, I know that I’ve put you through a lot in the past few months,” he said, his voice full of emotion. “But you’ve never wavered in your support of me.
You’ve always been there for me, no matter what. And I just want you to know how much that means to me. I couldn’t have gotten through this without you, and I want to tell you that I’m so grateful for you. And I want to tell you something else, in front of all of these people.”
Marissa’s eyes widened, and she held her breath. What was he about to say?
Alexander took a deep breath, and then said the words that would change everything. “I love you, Marissa. And I want to be with you, for the rest of my life The room was silent, and everyone’s eyes were on Alexander and Marissa. They looked at each other, their eyes full of love and emotion.
Finally, Marissa spoke. “I love you too, Alexander,” she said, her voice shaking slightly. “And I want to be with you too. I want to be by your side, through everything. I want to be your partner, your friend, and your support system. I want to be with you, always.”
Alexander’s face broke into a wide grin, and he walked over to Marissa and took her into his arms. The room erupted into applause, and the couple shared a long, loving embrace.
Then, Alexander took Marissa’s hand and led her to the front of the room. He got down on one knee, and looked up at her.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Will you marry me, Marissa?” he asked, his voice full of hope and love.
Marissa’s eyes filled with tears, and she nodded, unable to speak. Alexander stood up and pulled her into a hug. They stood there, wrapped in each other’s arms, as the applause and cheers continued around them.
Then Marissa pulled away from the hug. “But what about the contract? Jaime?” she asked.
Alexander smiled and then turned to face everyone and then revealed a shocking news to everyone.
“Someone actually threatened me that he would reveal that my marriage to my beloved wife here is fake and so I decided to reveal that myself and Marissa got married in private because we wanted to keep things low key.
But some felt our wedding was fake and so threatened to reveal it so that they could get the contract that was handed to me by my amazing clients who trusted my work.
So I’m here to prove that my marriage with Marissa is not fake but real and I decided to make this public proposal in front of you all to show them not to mess with me and my wife.
And I also know that my company delivers the best product and would give you all the best and as the new product would be launch in less than 30 minutes, I want you to trust in my judgment and do not let anyone’s words confuse and put your trust in me.” Alexander spoke.
The audience nodded, impressed by his speech.
Suddenly, Jaime walked up to Alexander holding a document in his hand.
“You can’t do this,” Jaime said, his voice filled with anger. “You know that the contract is mine. I deserve it, not you.”
Alexander looked at Jaime and said “You and I know that I worked hard to get this and you come here to claim what you never worked for because you just want to win, but I want to tell you that you will never win.
No matter the threat you give to me, you can never break me, Jaime.” He said and grabbed Marissa’s hand and left the podium as everyone was impressed by Alexander’s bold and confident words.
He really was what the business world called him. “The Business Titan.”
The man called Jaime stood there, fuming with rage. But he knew that Alexander was right. He had never put in the hard work and dedication that Alexander had, and he would never be able to achieve the same success. He turned and stormed out of the room, defeated.
Alexander and Marissa walked back to their seats, feeling a sense of relief. They had faced down their biggest challenge, and they had come out on top. They turned to look at each other, and their eyes met, filled with love and gratitude. They knew that no matter what came their way, they would face it together, as a team. They had each other’s backs, and that was all that mattered.
