Luna Of The 44
"HAVE THEY BEEN SPARRING since carlier?" Helga asked as she walked side by side with Portia. They were on their way to the training grounds where the Alpha King and his gamma were currently sparring.
"Yes, that's one of his majesty's ways to relieve stress and relieve stress," Portia responded, stealing a glance at the Queen who remained poised and composed despite receiving a wedding invitation from her former lover. When they had met earlier, Portia had asked about the envelope in her hand, and hearing Helga confirm her attendance at the wedding of the new Alpha of Incarnadine, she couldn't help but wonder what she was planning.
Portia was filled with more questions, but she held back from asking them. She didn't want to come across as nosy, even though she was genuinely concerned for Helga's well-being, especially when she knew first! ow cruelly Helga's previous partner and his pack betrayed her.
As they arrived at the training grounds, Helga's breath caught in her throat. Her eyes were fixated on the sight before her- Siegren and the gamma locked in a fierce sparring match. Both combatants were partially unclothed, the sun casting a golden glow on their glistening skin covered in a sheen of sweat. Siegren moved with fluid grace, his movements almost like a dance as he dodged and weaved around the gamma's attacks. But the gamma was not to be underestimated, fighting back with equal force and determination. Each strike landed with a resounding thud, sending shockwaves through the air. It was a display of brute strength and agile finesse, a battle between two powerful warriors or the Royal Pack.
This was the first time she had seen him in a fight, even if it was just a sparring match to pass the time and relieve tension. Despite not being a serious battle, the Alpha King's intense demeanor made her feel like he was facing his most formidable foes. The thought of how terrifying he would be in a real fight sent shivers down Helga's spine.
"Can't believe that fine man is my husband," she muttered under her breath, causing Portia to turn to her with wide, astonished eyes. The sudden shift in the King and Queen's relationship still amazes her, and she hopes it never changes. She loves seeing how they are completely whipped to each other.
"Ow!" The sound of Gamma Lucian's groaning reverberated throughout the training grounds, causing all guards and warriors to fall silent. Even Helga was stunned at the intensity of Siegren's battle skills as he landed another precise attack on his opponent. "Get up." The Alpha King commanded, glaring down at Lucian as he used the back of his hand to wipe under his nose. Suddenly, Siegren turned his head when he sensed Helga's presence, his eyes widening as he watched her walk towards them. "Why are you here?" "I just finished talking to Sierra," she said, her lips curved up into a gentle smile as Lucian, still breathing heavily from their sparring session, bowed respectfully to her. She had not intended to interrupt their training, but the intensity of Siegren's emotions was getting out of control and she feared he may seriously harm his gamma, not to mention that his alpha aura radiating from him was becoming hard to contain, pulsing with raw power.
"Have you managed to persuade her to rejoin the pack?" Siegren asked as he wiped his sweat with the towel David had just handed him.
"Let's give her some time to consider it, but I have confidence that she will ultimately decide to rejoin us." Helga responded with an assuring smile, "Also, she revealed something to me regarding the previous Luna candidates."
"Did she?" Siegren replied, surprise etched on his face and his intense emotions began to dissipate, causing the others in the training grounds to visibly relax their shoulders. They were relieved that Helga had interrupted the sparring before the Alpha King could unintentionally release his powerful Alpha aura.
"Yes, so how about we return inside the palace and talk about it? I have something to discuss with you anyway." Helga suggested, and Siegren nodded in agreement. He quickly instructed everyone to resume their training before patting Lucian's shoulder as he walked past him.
After entering the palace, the leaders headed straight to the Alpha King's bed chambers. After coming back from their trip to the island, Siegren and Helga decided to share a room and fully embrace their roles as husband and wife. It was a bit strange at first, but they quickly adapted and grew comfortable with being in each other's company all the time.

With the crown now resting on her head, Helga had assumed the task of overseeing every aspect of palace management. She took great care in ensuring its impeccable maintenance and managing its seemingly endless budgets. Meanwhile, Siegren was often holed up in his office, buried under a mountain of paperwork that demanded his attention. Among these pressing matters were decisions regarding the upcoming treaty talks that loomed in the not-too-distant future.
Even with their responsibilities, they still have made time for one another to make sure that their relationship will improve.
"What did my sister reveal to you?" Siegren asked as he sat on the sofa and leaned his back against it. Helga poured him a glass of water and sat down beside him, ready to share all that his sister had revealed. Siegren listened intently, nodding occasionally as he absorbed the information. His face remained impassive as if the fact that the previous Luna candidates had tried to kill him was already old news and insignificant. In the end, he gave the Queen a small smile.
"Threats like that are nothing new to me," Siegren said because he could tell that Helga v something that surprised me, that is how fast you managed to crack through Sierra's wall."
ried about him, "If there's
"I didn't do anything out of the ordinary, but that's a positive thing, isn't it?" Helga's smile widened as she noticed his expression soften as if a weight had been lifted off his shoulders after learning that the previous candidates weren't exactly innocent. "It certainly is," Siegren agreed, giving Helga a nod of approval, "By the way, what it is that you want to discuss?"
"Oh right," She remembered the main reason why she wanted to talk to him and turned her head towards the bedside table. She stood up and retrieved the invitation she had recently received. Returning to the sofa, she sat down next to Siegren, his unwavering gaze fixed on hers. "A lot has happened since then, and I honestly didn't know that Ezra had already become the Alpha,"
Siegren's brow furrowed at the mere mention of that name, but he kept quiet and waited for Helga to continue her explanation.
"He sent me an invitation to his wedding-
"What?" He abruptly interrupted her, his tone conveying a mix of disbelief and annoyance. He purposely didn't mention that Ezra had taken over as the Alpha of the Incarnadine pack because there was no reason for her to know about it. After all, she had cut ties with them already. But hearing that her ex-lover dared to send his wife a wedding invitation angered him beyond measure. He clenched his jaw tightly, gritting his teeth in an effort to control his desire to lash out.
"Come on, just relax," Helga said, placing her hand on top of his. Like a spell had been cast, Siegren's tense expression softened, but his anger still lingered. "I know I've severed ties with them, but I want to attend this wedding and see the pack one last time. I want to show those who betrayed me that I am above them now; that being an orphan doesn't define me, and I am part of the royal family."
"Besides, their karma was bound to catch up with them soon enough, and I couldn't wait for the opportunity to show them who would have the final laugh," Helga added, just imagining everyone's faces once she attended the wedding already brought such a smirk to her face. She wanted to see how they would all bow to the she-wolf they mistreated and bullied. "Also, you'll have to get ready to capture Miranda once the Incarnadine faces its inevitable downfall."
Siegren sensed the bubbling excitement radiating from his mate, and it was clear that she no longer had any attachment to her old packs. He was relieved, but still couldn't help but worry about her going.
"All right, I'll make sure to give David instructions as soon as possible, and..." he trailed off as he gently brushed a strand of Helga's hair behind her ear before continuing, "I am coming with you."This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
