Chapter 58
The next few days passed by in a blur of preparations. We had shortly received an official invitation from the vampire king. The invitation came in the form of an old fashioned scroll tied with a ribbon and written with golden ink. Viktor had explained that we would spend two days in the court, the first day to introduce ourselves and the second day would be a ball to celebrate.Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Although I was uncertain about leaving our pack, I knew Apollo and the rest had everything under control. We even had a few witches come over and cast a protection spell and a warding spell over the territory.
"Sir, Madam, are you ready?" I snapped out of my thoughts to smile at the pilot. Viktor had arranged a private jet to take us straight to Romania. It was his way of trying to get on Kieran's good side and I could tell my mate was impressed with the shiny white jet. The inside was quite lavish. It even had a bedroom at the back which was perfect. The flight would be more than twelve hours and we would have to get comfortable.
"Are you exited?" He asked me once we settled down in the seats.
"Very and quite nervous. We're meeting vampire royalty," Viktor was quite informative about the expected dress code and the customs. I would only speak once addressed and there would be a guard always accompanying us. "I feel kinda bad," I began. He gave me a questioning look so I continued. "I'm kinda looking forward to being away from the pack and being alone with you," I gave him a sly smirk, one that he reciprocated with darkening eyes. "I think we should check out the bedroom now," he unbuckled my seatbelt for me, lifting me up and throwing me over his shoulder. This made me let out a startled laugh as I hung upside down, with a perfect view of his tight a*s. "Mr Hadrian what are you doing?" I giggled. I gave him a spank on the a*s that earned me one in return. He walked towards the back of the plane, kicking the door open and closed with his foot.
He threw me into the bed and I bounced a little, my hair flying all over the place. I pushed my hair back from my face to watch him slip off his shirt. He didn't take his eyes off me and mine roamed over his exposed skin. He continued and pulled off all his remaining clothes until he was naked before me. He slowly stalked towards me and climbed on the bed.
"Now it's your turn."
The next twelve hours passed by quickly. We spent most of our time in bed together, with only a few meal breaks. Thankfully, the jet had a decent sized shower we both made use of so we left the plane feeling fresh and rejuvenated.
It was only early morning by the time we arrived and we weren't expected to do much for another two days. The witches and Viktor would arrive by tomorrow so until then, we could spend our time however we chose to.
"We should go sightseeing," Kieran suggested. I was currently unpacking our luggage in the fancy hotel. The room was quite large and I wondered how expensive it must have been considering it looked like something out of a Hollywood movie set. "Oh yeah? Full tourist style with T shirts that say 'I love Romania'?" I asked. He laughed, shaking his head.
"Maybe not the T-shirt's. But we can at least get the hats?" He suggested playfully.
"How about we go hiking through the mountains. They have beautiful scenery and a wonderful landscape," he suggested.
"Yes and I would very much like to visit the local village. I want to explore the culture and food too," It was the first time I had left America and gone overseas and while we weren't here for a holiday, I would make the most of what precious time I'd have with my
mate.
We both dresssed in casual clothes, opting for jeans and slightly warmer tops. We left the hotel room and went down to the breakfast bar where they were serving food.
We got quite a few stares, most of them from the vampire visitors. The humans only gave us curious glances. I looked around the room and spotted Daniel, our assigned guard for the trip. He gave me a single nod in acknowledgment.
We sat to eat our breakfast and we were soon lost in our own conversation when I felt someone step up to the table. It was a woman. A vampire woman.
She, of course, was stunning, as all vampires were and had this femme fatale look about her with her black hair and red lipstick.
"So, you two must be the visiting wolves," She gave me a once over, seemingly unimpressed with my outfit before turning her hungry gaze onto my mate. I didn't have to read her mind to know what she was trying to do.
"How are you liking it here so far?" She all but purred, leaning down on our table to get closer to Kieran. She placed her hand on his arm too, using her long red nails to seductively trace patterns on it. Her sweet scent wafted strongly in our faces. I'm sure it worked well on the humans and was the perfect way of catching prey.
The inner part of me wanted to claw at her face for daring to touch my mate and to bite his mark again and claim what was mine, but I couldn't quite do that. I was on vampire territory and had to be extremely careful.
Saying a quick prayer to the moon goddess for patience, I cleared my throat, grateful when Kieran pulled his arms away from her grasp.
"Yes, my mate and I have decided to go sightseeing today and enjoy the rich culture this country has to provide," I gave her a sickeningly sweet smile. Again, she looked unimpressed at me. She glanced back at Kieran, who kept his eyes on me. She huffed slightly under her breath before excusing herself.
Once she was far enough, I sighed to myself, giving Kieran a small smile.
"I've never been territorial before but it was taking all my strength to not grab you across the table and bite you," I admitted sheepishly. He let out a short laugh, leaning across the table and whispering in my ear. "It's a shame, I would have liked that," I could feel my face flush but pushed those thoughts out of my head.
"Maybe we should get on with that hike?" I suggested standing up, trying to distract myself from my sinful thoughts. He gave me a knowing smirk, standing up too and pulling me into his side as we walked out together. "I should get you jealous more often," He mused. I lightly hit him on the chest and laughed, silently thanking the moon goddess once again that I managed to hold myself back.
