Chapter 126~ Never been this happy
"Good morning, Mrs Kingsley," Ryan said in a husky voice, gently nudging Lora so she could wake up.
"I know I said we won't go out today, but I want us to have a special breakfast," Ryan said, leaning down to kiss Lora's forehead.
"Mmmmm," Lora moaned, stirring from her sleep. "Let's eat later, babe. I'm so tired."
"Oh, baby... I know but you have to wake up. I want us to watch the sunrise together and have breakfast. I promise, we will return to bed soon," Ryan replied, stroking Lora's hair.
The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a golden glow over the villa. Ryan and Lora were still in bed, wrapped in crisp white sheets. They hadn't slept until a few hours earlier and that was because they couldn't keep their hands away from each other. Lora slowly opened her eyes, the beautiful view of the lush tropical paradise coming into her view through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
She could hear the sound of the waterfall as it blended with the chirping of birds in the distance and the rustling of palm trees swaying in the breeze.
She wrapped her leg around Ryan's waist and asked, "Is the sunrise that beautiful?"
"It is and I want you to see it," Ryan replied. "I want to watch it with you."
Lora chuckled, thinking Ryan was such a romantic.
Nodding, she sighed and said, "Since my husband wants to watch the sunrise with me, why should I say no?"
"Are you saying you can't say no to me, Mrs Kingsley?" Ryan asked huskily, arching an eyebrow.
Lora smiled, her heart fluttering at the sound of the name. She responded, "I can't say no to you, just like you can't say no to me, Mr Kingsley."
"That's right," Ryan remarked, smirking. He pulled Lora closer, pressing a soft kiss to her lips and said, "I have a lot planned for this trip. I want us to never forget the moments we will share here."
"And we will," Lora stated, looking up into Ryan's eyes. "It being our honeymoon has already made it special."
A little while later, Ryan and Lora were going down the stone path that was carved into the cliffside, hand in hand.
They had just finished watching the sunrise together and now, Ryan was leading Lora down the cliff to have breakfast near the natural pool at the base of the waterfall.
Lora's eyes widened when they reached the base. The sun was high up now, creating a shimmering pattern on the water's surface where red and white rose petals were floating. Lora gasped at the breathtaking sight, the clear blue waters calling to her.
On the side of the pool, a wooden table was set up, adorned with a platter of tropical fruits- neatly cut mango, pineapple, papaya and assorted berries. There was also freshly baked bread with a platter of sausages, bacon and eggs. A jug of freshly squeezed juice was resting on a bowl of ice on the side.
"What time did you prepare this, my love?" Lora asked, her stomach fluttering with butterflies.
Ryan wrapped an arm around her waist before leading her towards the table, saying, "I had some help. Do you like it?"
Lora nodded, smiling. "Yes, I do. I love it very much. Thank you, baby."
She took a seat on the bench and Ryan sat next to her, asking, "Should I feed you?"
Lora arched an eyebrow. "Are you trying to pamper me?"
"Yes, you deserve it," Ryan replied before getting a fork and piercing a piece of mango before bringing it to Lora's lips.
Lora opened her mouth and took the mango into her mouth. She remarked, "Mmmm, yummy."
Ryan smiled and began to feed Lora some more, looking at her lovingly as she pointed at what she wanted to eat.
"You're so beautiful," he remarked as he fed her a piece of sausage.
Lora blushed and said shyly, "Aren't you going to eat?"
"I'm satisfied with watching you eat," Ryan replied but he picked a piece of bread for himself and took a bite before washing it down with some juice.
They continued to eat with Ryan feeding Lora and himself. As they ate, Lora couldn't help but ask, "How are you feeling about Jason being your half-brother?" Ryan furrowed his eyebrows. "I don't want to talk about unhappy things on our honeymoon, baby."
"I know, I'm just worried about how you're taking the news," Lora remarked.
Ryan sighed, saying, "I don't know what to feel... I'm shocked. I never expected the man I hated to be my brother."
Silence fell over them for a few seconds before Lora said, "Let's take time to process this information. I can't help but wonder why Jason hid his identity all this while."
"He must be working with Celeste of course... I can only imagine what they are up to," Ryan replied before scooping Lora into his arms. "Enough of that... let's focus on us as agreed. How about an early morning swim?"
Before Lora could tell what was happening, Ryan jumped into the pool, splashing water all around them.
Lora gasped as the water enveloped her.
"Ryan!" She scolded him after she broke the surface. "You caught me off guard!"
Ryan chuckled and dipped his hands into the water before splashing Lora playfully. "AH! Ryan, you're so going to regret that!" Lora said as she wiped her face.
She scooped a handful of water and splashed Ryan back, giggling when it hit his face, Soon, the couple engaged in a splash war, hitting each other's faces with water as they both tried to evade and splash at the same time.
Their laughter echoed through the secluded paradise, mingling with the sound of the waterfall. Ryan suddenly reached Lora and grabbed the back of her head before
capturing her lips in
a deep, vel
passionate kiss.
Lora melted into him, kissing him back with equal passion, her fingers tangling in his wet hair.
When they broke apart, Lora wrapped her arms around Ryan's neck and stated, "I've never been this happy."
Ryan cupped Lora's cheek, caressing it lightly as he replied, "Neither have I... thank you for making me the happiest man on earth, Lora."This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
