Chapter 77 Invisible Colin
Chapter 77 Invisible Colin
Wendy looked at Leila and her son. Seeing Leila's eyes red from crying and Colin's white shirt wet with
tears, she choked down her anger. "It's time for dinner. When are you going downstairs?"
"Sorry, Aunt Wendy. I'll go downstairs now." Leila wiped away her tears and smiled.
Wendy smiled back and nodded. "How about you, Colin? Sophia is waiting for you!"
"I'll go after I change my clothes."
"Well, I'll go down first. Hurry up!" After saying that, Wendy turned away.
The previous smile on the face was replaced by angry look.
Colin had gone too far! How could he hold Leila like that!
Wendy deliberately ignored the tears on Leila's face. If she went to comfort Leila, wouldn't it be unfair to
Sophia?
Just as Colin was about to return to the bedroom, Leila asked softly, "Colin, can I use your bathroom
and wash my face?"
He stopped. Because of grandfather's birthday, the rooms on the second floor were full. Thinking of
this, he nodded.
They went into Colin's bedroom. Two suitcases were lying on the floor in a mess.
Colin pointed to the bathroom. "The bathroom is over there. I'll go change my clothes."
"Okay. Thank you, Colin!"
"You're welcome."
They then went their separate ways to fix themselves.
Wendy went downstairs and sat down next to Sophia, who looked up at Wendy anxiously. "Mom, you
went upstairs..."
"Yes, I went up. Sophia, you can't back down now. Go upstairs and ask Colin to come down!" Wendy
gently whispered in Sophia's ear.
Sophia bit her lips tightly and shook her head. She didn't want to see them cuddling together.
"Sophia, I'm on your side. Don't be afraid. Colin is your husband. If you don't fight for him, he'll end up
with someone else!"
"..."
Sophia stood up from her seat and went upstairs.
There wasn't any trace of the two in the corridor. She glanced over to the bedroom and wondered if
they went in.
Sophia stepped towards the bedroom door unconsciously. The door was ajar, so she pushed it gently.
Inside, Colin was standing by the bed, while Leila was raising herself on her tiptoes to tie his necktie for
him.
"Colin, I can also tie a necktie. Are you surprised? Every time I come home, I tie it for my dad. My mom
taught me!"
Colin didn't answer her. "Why isn't your mother here today?"
"Mom went back home, so she couldn't make it here."
"I see."
Once the tie was fastened, Leila beamed and held Colin's arm. "Go take a look in the mirror. You're so
handsome!"
They walked to the direction of the mirror. The moment they turned around, they saw the silent woman
outside the door.
Leila seemed guilty, and let go of Colin's arm immediately.
Colin watched the quiet girl with mixed feelings.
"Colin, mom asked me to remind you to go downstairs. Everyone is waiting for you. Are you ready? If
you are, let's go." Sophia's voice was light and soft. She was too heartbroken to find her own voice.
"I'm ready." Colin picked up the suit and wore it. He wanted to follow Sophia, but she hurried
downstairs ahead of them.
Sophia went down, walked around the living room, and went to her seat discreetly. Nobody noticed her.
Behind her, Colin and Leila walked through the main entrance to the dinning table. A lot of people
noticed them go down together.
A buzz of discussion filled the room. Many people had naturally concluded that Colin and Leila were a
couple.
Leila walked to Joseph and sat beside him. But Joseph's smile had gone stiff. He was dissatisfied with
his daughter's behavior. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
Jordan told him that Colin had gotten married.
After knowing Colin's marriage, Leila still hadn't kept her distance from him. It was inappropriate!
Looking at the woman beside Wendy, Joseph assumed she must be Colin's wife. Although he couldn't
decide if she came from a prominent family, she made everyone feel comfortable.
Once they got back home, he would have a long talk with his daughter. He would never allow her to
become a mistress.
When Colin went to sit beside Sophia, she was eating a piece of foie gras that Wendy picked for her.
She remained indifferent about his appearance, as if she hadn't even noticed him.
"Sophia, mom prefers you to be healthy. You should eat more. You're so cute!" Wendy placed a piece
of silver carp on Sophia's plate.
Sophia smiled slightly. "Mom, please don't focus on me. Enjoy yourself!"
"Oh, I will!" The harmonious relationship between them put Leila in deep thought.
During the entire dinner, Sophia and Wendy chatted with each other, completely ignoring Colin.
On his other side sat Herring, who was busying cosying up to Shelly. He also ignored Colin.
Colin felt like he had become invisible to them.
He took Sophia's right hand, but she pulled away and picked up a glass of juice in front of her, taking a
sip.
Colin was taken aback.
He had introduced Leila to Sophia as his little sister. Why was she angry?
The dinner ended around 9pm. Shelly, Janet, and Sophia helped the two elders back to the room to
rest.
Colin, Daniel, and Cole were sending the guests off at the entrance. At around 11pm, the villa was
finally quiet.
The three girls didn't leave until the elders had fallen asleep under their patient care.
Concerned about her father, Sophia pulled Wendy aside. "Mom, I want to go and see my father."
Wendy looking at her in worry. "It's too late already. You should go tomorrow morning!"
"I'm too worried about dad. I haven't visited him since Dr. Charlie saw him. I won't feel comfortable if I
don't go."
Understanding her feelings, Wendy asked, "Should I ask Colin or the driver to bring you there?"
Sophia bit her lower lip. "Can the driver bring me?"
"No problem!"
Without telling Colin, Sophia got in the car to go to the hospital after everyone retired to their rooms.
Jay had been transferred to Chuck's private hospital. The driver dropped her off at the in-patient
department. "Thank you Uncle An. You should head back. I'm staying here in the hospital tonight."
"Okay, My Lady. I'll come back soon. Please go ahead upstairs!" Watching her enter, Arvin drove away.
On the 8th Floor
Sophia opened the door of Room 8802 and found it quiet.
Jay was already asleep. A man was lying on the bed beside him. Upon hearing the noise, he sat up in
the bed.
"Sophia!" Aaron rubbed his eyes in disbelief, wondering if he was hallucinating from his sleep.
Sophia didn't expect to see her little brother and got excited. "Aaron, you're looking after dad!"
