Healing The 71
Healing The 71
Sihana’s POV

“So you’re telling me rogues are cursed?” I wanted to himy head against a wall. I should have known at
like Felicity would lie about even her academic prowess. “The goddess cursed rogues? Where did you learn this?”
“It’s in “Rogues 101. I’m serious.” As she mentioned the ridiculous book title, I pulled out my phone to search for it on the internet. Surprisingly, it existed. “The goddess cursed all destroyers with a madness
that is incurable.”
Although I didn’t believe her words, she had cited a source. All eded to do was read the book and clarify she wasn’t talking nonsense. If the curse was incurable, then I may have a problem.
“Is that all?” I asked, taking a sip of my tea.
We’d come to a bustling cafe behind the pack house Felicity, I learnt, talked a lot. It annoyed me that she knew Alpha Blood better than I did so I made a mental note to come out more often to explore the pack lands.
“If you can tell me what you’re researching rogues for, I might be able to help better,” she said. Her words were innocent and seemed to be spoken in good faith but I didn’t fall for the bait. “I have a bit
more information but they are just this and that, nothing concrete seeing as I don’t know your area of focus.” NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
“If you can tell me –” Felicity continued to urge me to tell her why I was researching rogues so I decided on a lie. It was something I had thought of, knowing people would question my sudden interest in rogues.
“As you know. I have healing powers,” I blurted out. The girl sitting across from me perked up. “I want to know if they’re applicable to both physical and mental illnesses.” It was a plausible reason to research rogues, one that would bring the least questions.
“Oh, oh, do you want me to research healers for you? I’ve heard some healers in the past were able to help with more than physical injuries but I’m not sure about healing those driven mad from bloodlust.”
“Yes, research healing abilities,” I murmured, my mind slipping away from the present to dwell on Cahir. Maybe I should drop by his office after this.
“I will. I promise I won’t disappoint!” Felicity was saying but I’d stopped listening. A shadow darkening my side made me raise my head to see the twin girls who harassed me the other day.
“Well, look who it is. My lips twitched in annoyance.
“What do you want?” Felicity jumped to my defense.
“This isn’t your pack so shut the fuck up.” one girl snarled at her. “What are you doing here, Luna?” She addressed me, spitting out the word ‘Luna‘ as if it was an insult.
“Who are you?” I asked, giving them an irritated glare.
“Oh, you want to pretend you don’t know us? Well then, we are about to become your worst nightmare” The girls exclaimed together. Their shout drew attention to my table.
“You’re bold, aren’t you?” Felicity put on her normal arrogant expression and tone dripping with disdain. It
to defend me.
“My worst nightmare, huh?” 1 smiled, despite the pricking on my skin from all the eyes on me. “My worst nightmare would be –”
“Sihana.” A deeper hush fell across the cafe. That voice sent shivers racing down my spine for all the right reasons. When Cahir called my name, it managed to sound intimate no matter the situation. It wasn’t any different this time. “Trouble?” His gaze slid from mine to Felicity, to the girls standing beside our table. A heavy hand fell on my shoulder and I felt the tension coiled around him.
“A–Alpha.” The twins and Felicity chorused. Felicity bit her lips while the other two girls tried to stand tall but the colour draining from their faces and how they tried to make themselves smaller was a dead giveaway of their fear.
That power it was intoxicating. I wondered if I would ever have half of Cahir’s influence as his Luna, These girls that were like they would breathe fire second ago now chewed their lips and hung their heads and Cahir hadn’t even said anything yet.
“You are Dorian’s twins, aren’t you?” Cahir murmured. I placed a hand atop his when I felt him clench hard in my shoulder.
“Y–Yes.” The girls chorused, their chins falling to their chests and they avoided his gaze. “It is a pleasure to meet the Alpha,” one of the girls added. I saw her hands tremble, heard her voice shake and Asena felt a grim satisfaction at their situation.
“Go home. Tell your father to see me.” Their heads whipped up and their jaws slackened.
One of them dared to ask the question on their mind. F–For what–A- Alpha?” She pressed her lips together, her eyes flickering to mine for a second.
Do I have to explain myself to you?” Quiet words. Simple words. They had goosebumps exploding all over my skin and the girls jerked, intertwining their fingers.
“N–No, A – Alpha.” They shook their heads. Sweat broke out on their foreheads, and one of the girls. licked her lips and then swallowed.
“If
you must know, it would be to discuss your behaviour,” Cahir said in a calm voice that belied his anger.
“We’re sorry!” One of them fell to her knees, clasping her hands together before her. She tugged at the other girl’s skirt and right there, in the bustling café that had gone dead silent, the two girls knelt with tears in their eyes.
They talked big but it didn’t even take a lot to get them to fall on their knees without a hint of the pride that made them puff up their shoulders. These girls, I had learnt, were the daughters of one of the richest men in the pack and the world, really. Their family had been a part of Alpha Blood since
its inception and their relevance was second only to the Alpha’s. It went without saying that they came from a lineage of proud people but now, they were on their knees.
Every day, I wondered the extent to which people feared Cahir. For another Alpha, these girls would never bow not to talk of kneeling. Their father had the wealth to protect them. They had uncles and aunts in high places, I was sure. If they erred, no one would dare say anything bad about them but here they were.
On their knees.
Cahir Armani changed the dynamics of a lot of things when he took over Alpha Blood, but the one thing which changed the most was power and how it was handled. He did that. All alone and he would be the
only Alpha in the world who could hold a powerful family in clerk.

“Are you really a power–hungry girl? My wolf asked with a snicker, referencing the lie my father spouted about me being power hungry and only attracted to Cair’s position,
No, I replied my wolf. I am scared. Because Cabir Armani was one man that could throw powerful men into chaos so who would stop him if he went feral?
