Book 2 Chapter 15
But I don't need to admit anything. He knows
He knows by the flush in my cheeks that I have crossed a line there is no coming back from. Yet my defenses are up instantly
"You were the one frigging grinding against me," I snap out of embarrassment, refusing to look at him
"Was I?" he asks, and I open my eyes to glare at him only to find his arms draped along the back of the booth, not touching me at all. When did he let go? My face heats even more, realizing I worked myself up while he watched
"You cum beautifully. You ruined my pants. I should make you wash them," he tells me, and I
look down to find his crotch soaked
I scramble off him, and he chuckles darkly while I want to run from the booth
Vance rises. "Are we done now?" he asks
Vance's gaze pins me as he hands me his jacket, his voice dropping an octave, a dangerous edge to it. "You're finished for the night, Maya."
I shake my head, the fabric of his jacket heavy in my hands. "I can't just leave, I have "
"You're leaving," he interrupts, his tone brooking no argument as he drapes the jacket over my shoulders. It's too large, swallowing my frame, the scent of him-leather and somethingThis belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
sharply masculine enveloping me
I pull the jacket tighter around me, feeling exposed despite the cover, and I quickly ensure
my mask is securely back in place. "This isn't how this works," I argue, trying to muster my usual defiance. But my voice trembles, betraying my inner turmoil
Vance steps closer, his presence overwhelming
"Tonight, it does." His fingers gently but firmly turn me around, steering me out of the booth; the bouncer, spotting me, steps forward. I shake my head. "Boss is looking for you," the bouncer tells me, and I nod; Vance says nothing, nudging me toward the stairs. Once on the first floor, he steers me towards the staff area. I resist, my steps halting. "That's staff only," I snap, irritation spiking
He doesn't stop. "Get your things," he commands, ignoring my protest. I shake my head. He is going to get me fired
"Either you grab your things, and we leave, or I
ring my brother. Zayn will not have one of his pack members working in a shit hole like this; the choice is yours; either way, you're finished tonight, Maya."
My frustration boils over, and I storm ahead to the locker area, yanking mine open with more force than necessary when my boss Trevor strolls in, his aura reaching me before he does
"Where the fuck have you been, booth 6 is waiting on you!" My boss, mid-rant about my absence, stops short when he spots Vance. "You shouldn't be back here," he starts, his tone firm until his eyes fully register who stands before him
Recognition dawns, and his posture straightens, an apologetic smile quickly replacing his annoyance. "Oh, Beta Vance, I... wasn't expecting you. Can I help you with something?"
His voice is now tinged with a nervous respect
Ignoring him, I quickly change into my clothes and grab my bag, glancing at Vance, who stands silently, watching. Trevor's eyes darting between us, confusion morphing into concern
"Maya, where are you going? We are short girls: I went out on a limb tonight letting you work the VIP section," he says, and I try to pass him back his jacket, but he steps forward, taking it and holding it open. "T have my cloak," I tell him. Pointing to it in my locker
"Maya?" Trevor asks
Vance answers before I can. "I'm taking her home. She's done for the night," he states, his tone leaving no room for argument, his gaze not leaving me. "Put it on, it's freezing outside," Vance tells me, stepping closer. I slip my arm back into his jacket, and he grabs my cloak,
helping me pull it on
"But she has clients-" Trevor starts to protest, his face flushing with the awkwardness of the situation. I grab my bag, slinging it over my shoulder when Vance cuts him off, pulling out his wallet and thumbing through it
"How much for her whole night?" he asks, his gaze icy and aura rippling slightly
