Caught Between The twin CEO

Chapter 73

After a log time of working tirelessly for the trace of whoever it was William had done and who he was working for.

Williams was still not talking as he had no chance of making it known that what he had done was bring not just a bad reputation but was causing funds to be pulled out.

“Ain’t you going home Sir?” She asked as she had just passed by his office and found that he was still working there.

“Not yet, I just want to get this over this” Paxton responded.

“But won’t you get sick if you over work yourself? We all are working towards this and I am sure that if you rest you could be able to deal with this whole new problem for the company” Sydney explained.

She made sense but the issue was Paxton was not one to let this that low when he wanted them done.

“I’ll be fine Sydney, you go home and make sure come to the office early tomorrow. My brother is trying his best too to get help” Paxton explained.

“I hear you but please be safe” she said.

She knew for a fact that she would have to at some point get Paxton to not continue breaking himself that way.

For sure he was a workaholic than Jaxton and if she didn’t know any better she would have said Jaxton was kind of less concerned about the problems of the company so she did what was reasonable she refused going home.

“I would stay here with you and we would find a solution to this” Sydney said but Paxton didn’t want that.

The last thing he wanted right now was him having to fight with him and his woman because they were working together.

“No Sydney, you can go home I don’t want Jaxton things about you and I” Paxton said in a tired tone.

“Talk about the devil” she looked through her phone as she saw Jaxton calling.

“Never mind I would make sure I tell him what we are doing besides its nothing bad” she explained as she takes the call.

“Hello” she said.

“Yes babe where are you?” Jaxton asked.

“I am still at the company I and Paxton have somethings to finish here concerning the case” Sydney explained fearlessly because of course was not doing anything bad. This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

“I want to come take you home” Jaxton said even after she had explained they were busy but she refused.

“No I would come home myself, I need to finish this, I hope you take a rest and concentrate on what to do fir this case” Sydney said and hung up.

He was being too clingy and demanding and she was getting tired of it.

After helping him set up files and also having to deal with lots and lots of emails from investors who were scared of the possibility of losing their funds because of the tragedy.

Sydney let out a huge yawn, indicating how tired she was.

“You’ve got to go home Sydney you look tired and you can always help me tomorrow” Paxton had said but she was bent on being there with him to make sure everything was fine.

She felt sorry for Paxton and how hard he worked for the company. She had known Paxton to put in the last of all energy he had on days the business was going down so she needed to help him with this.

She sat on the cushion and took off her heels and made sure she was comfortable enough to work on her laptop whilst Paxton did work on his computer.

Whilst working Sydney fell asleep sometimes while Paxton was up and he admired her determination to be with him at the office that sometimes he thought of increasing her salary.

If it ever came to a point where he would have to lay off workers at least he knew who he was going retain as a worker there.

They had worked all through the night and for sure that alone showed her dedication.

She heard rowdy noises and that was when she knew her colleagues had begun to come to the office for the noise was too much.

“Good morning Paxton” she said while she ran to his bathroom and washed her face. Evidently the black under eyes were evident and she could swear if she had her makeup she would do that thing people used to do to cover dark circles.

Paxton himself had a black eye which signified him not having any sleep at all and she had been fortunate to close her eyes a few times before waking up to work but she was sure she had not seen him close his eyes.

“You can go home and refresh yourself before returning to the office” Paxton said.

“You too go home and take a shower you look like shit” she said and he only smiled she was not wrong he sure looked like shit.

She walked out of his office and headed for her car. While she walked down the corridor the other employees whispered whatever it was they felt was good to whisper about Sydney being in the office with Paxton.

She could have stood there to explain what they were doing but those people didn’t deserve her vocals being wasted.

The only person who was supposed to question her at this point was Jaxton and she still had the rights to not answer him because he was not bound to her legally they just were boyfriend and girlfriend.

He had not so no one else had the right to question even for being in the same work clothes.

“Sydney wait, ill drive you home” Jaxton said as he walked up to his girlfriend.

Somehow he looked he was calm and it frightened Sydney.

He was not pushy or angered he just was calm and collected and even smiling.

Something was most definitely up.
