Burned Once, Never Again (Niamh and Castiel)

Chapter 87

"It wasn't your fault." Blake's tone was cold and stern.

Castiel had already left. Niamh was aware that if she didn't go down. right away, he'd certainly stir up more trouble.

"I'll treat you to a meal another day." Then, she got out of the car. Compared to Castiel's outrageousness, Blake seemed almost apathetic.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

As soon as she got out of the car, Nathan hastily pulled up in another car. Before getting in himself, he turned to Niamh and asked, "Need a ride?"

Her heart missed a beat, as his attention was the last thing she needed at that moment.

Unbeknownst to Niamh, Castiel inched closer to her from behind, asserting his dominance. Before she could respond, Blake smirked at Castiel and taunted, "Look who's finally met their match!"

Niamh and Castiel were both caught off guard. Blake hopped into his car and sped off before Castiel could lose his temper, leaving the couple behind looking all the more ridiculous.

Niamh turned and found Castiel standing obnoxiously close behind. her. She couldn't be bothered to deal with him, so she started to walk off in the other direction, but he grabbed her wrist and demanded, Stop right there!"

Why was she treating him like he wasn't even there? After everything that had just happened, was she really planning to walk away without a word?

Quinn arrived separately, and witnessing the scene before her, she drew in a sharp breath befor making her way to Niamh's side. "Are you heading back?"

"Yeah," Niamh responded. She was about to leave when she felt the grip on her wrist tighten.

Niamh turned and looked at Castiel, her eyes cold and distant, as though she was looking at a complete stranger. "Would you mind letting go of me?"

Her indifference only fueled his anger. He shoved her into his damaged Phantom and barked, "Drive!"

"You must be out of your mind!" she hissed.

In a flash, he was on top of her, pinning her down in the backseat. Humiliated and enraged, she raised her hand to slap him, but he caught her wrist before she could land the blow.

"What were you two doing in there?"

"It's none of your business-" The rest of her words were silenced.

The feeling of his lips on hers was maddeningly familiar. It brought back memories of a time when she had loved it. But now, just the thought of him kissing another woman like this made her stomach turn. And yet, she was utterly powerless against his towering strength. The scenery outside whipped past like a fast-forwarded film as the car sped along. Inside, chaos reigned. Castiel had never been this close to snapping, to wanting Niamh dead. However, that day, she had pushed him past his breaking point.

As soon as they arrived at Maplewood, Lucian and the driver bolted. from the car. After being around Castiel for a while, both of them had learned how to run when things got dangerous.

Niamh was so sore she could barely move. When Castiel carried her out of the car, he leaned down and growled in her ear, "If you ever leave again, I'll break your legs!"

Looking back, Niamh hadn't exactly been well-behaved for a while

now.

"Why are you even keeping me around?" she asked.

Wasn't he convinced that she was evil? Why hadn't he divorced her

yet?

Castiel glanced down at the petite woman in his arms and asked

lowly, "Do you think it's that easy for me to break free from the spell you've cast on me?"

Niamh's heart lurched. The man who had just been on the verge of snapping her in two was now strangely gentle. It was as if they had returned to a time before Macy's shadow darkened everything. However, she knew this was nothing but a facade. There was no going back for them. His gentleness was only a ploy to take her corneas for Macy.
