Chapter 14: Delivering Medicine
Chapter 14: Delivering Medicine
"We have been together for four years. Everyone knows that Roland loves me very much," said
Andrina. "Do you want to be like your shameless mother, being the other woman in someone else's
family?"
Alvera gritted her teeth. "You have no right to mention my mother. Andrina, why do you think I'm here to
save you?"
Andrina looked at her coldly.
Alvera bent down and whispered in her ear, "Andrina, I won't let you die. You will live and know how
unrequited love feels like. You will pay for what you have done. I shouldn't be the only one to learn this
lesson."
She straightened and patted Andrina on her shoulder, changing her tone suddenly. "Andrina, you poor
thing, you must be suffering after all these checkups and examinations."
Andrina gritted her teeth, her hands trembling in anger.
Alvera turned around and said to the nurse, who was not too far away, "Miss, sorry for the trouble."
The nurse came forward, nodded to her, and pushed Andrina away.
As they left, she heard the nurse say, "Ms. Earhart, you have such a close relationship with your sister.
I'm envious."
In the evening, Alvera lay alone on the hospital bed in the dark, unable to sleep.
She finally got out of bed and put on a coat. She planned to take a walk in the garden.
When she arrived in the lobby on the first floor, she met Roland's secretary from earlier this evening.
"Terry, you're still working? It's late," she said.
"Ms. Alvera, are you okay?" he asked.
"Me? I'm fine. What's wrong?" she replied.
"Mr. Francois asked me to come and check on you. He had severe diarrhoea after having the Mexican
food this morning," he said.
Alvera was a little surprised because Roland only took a few bites of the food. "How is he now?"
"Mr. Francois didn't let me go over, he just called me and told me to come and check on you," Terry
replied.
Alvera shrugged. "I'm fine. You can go back and rest."
Terry nodded and left.
Alvera was going to continue on her walk, but she suddenly changed her mind.
...
She went to the pharmacy opposite the hospital and bought a box of antidiarrheal medicine. Then she
went to the underground parking lot and drove to Roland's house.
His house was only a four or five-minute drive away from her villa.
When she appeared at his door, Roland was a little surprised.
However, he still let his housekeeper open the door for her.
Butler Lee took her into the study, where Roland was still working.
When she entered, he put down the file in his hand and asked, "Why are you here?"
Alvera stepped forward and put down the box of antidiarrheal medicine on the table.
"Terry said that you've been feeling unwell after eating the food at the Mexican restaurant," she said.
"Alvera, did you do this on purpose? Why are you fine after eating those things, but I'm having
problems?" he asked.
"Mr. Francois, you underestimated me. Whatever happens, I'm still your wife by law, so I'm not going to
kill my own husband. You can only blame your delicate stomach, Mr. Francois. You'll get used to it once
you've eaten it a few more times," she replied.
He said coldly, "I don't think you're here to deliver medicine. You're here to laugh at me."
Alvera sighed and put on a disappointed expression. "Mr. Francois, I'm disappointed that you think of
me that way." Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"You're a bad actress," he said coldly.
Alvera smiled and changed her attitude.
After talking to Andrina earlier that night, she changed her mind.
She decided that she was going to make Roland fall in love with her.
It might be a little difficult, but it was worth a try.
Since all the men of the Francois family were scumbags, it would be fun to let him tell Andrina himself
that he did not love her anymore.
Roland should have a taste of unrequited love as well.
Her four years of pain in jail should not be in vain.
"Fine, no more acting. Take one tablet of this, three times a day. I've taken this before, it works well.
Since you're busy, I'll excuse myself," she said seriously.
As she turned around to leave, she heard Roland's voice from behind her. "Stop there."
...
When she turned around, Roland was already in front of her.
He smiled evilly and pulled her into his arms. "Who allowed you to leave?"
