Chapter 77
Chapter 77 High School Crush
The next day at Lia Jewellery, Leah sat in her office, flipping through design files, when there was a sudden knock on her door.
She stopped her hand that was flipping through the file and called out. "Come in."
Layla pushed the door open, a worried furrow etched between her eyebrows. "Miss Wilson, we have a problem."
Leah closed the design file and looked up at her. "What happened?"
Layla hesitated before speaking, "Remember the 'Elegance' jewelry set our design team came up with? The marketing department wanted to boost sales, so they hired a celebrity for the ad campaign. But this celebrity has high standards for the endorsements he takes on. He's not happy with our ad concept and refuses to work with the photographer... I've tried to persuade him, but he's not budging. I think he's planning to quit the shoot and abandon our advertisement."
Leah thought momentarily before asking, "Is this celebrity very popular?"
Layla nodded. "Yes, this celebrity has over ten million followers online."
"A high-profile celebrity can indeed boost sales," Leah mused. After a brief moment, she stood up and said, "Don't worry, I'll go take a look."
"Alright, Miss Wilson," Layla replied, quickly following Leah out.
When they approached the studio, they heard a deep voice from inside.Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
The person said, "Have you all forgotten what you guys had designed?
"This is the 'Elegance' jewelry set. The focus is on the word 'Elegance'. Yet you want me to wear complicated and heavy clothing for the shoot. Do you think the consumers will buy that?
"I was quite satisfied and interested when I first saw the design. But this uninspired ad has completely put me off.
"In short, you can find someone else for this ad because I'm done here."
These words completely devalue their company's advertising creativity.
Hearing this, Leah couldn't help but frown slightly, and her expression turned contemplative.
She wondered, "That voice... Why does it sound so familiar? Where have I heard it before?"
As she was lost in thought, the studio door swung open, and a tall, muscular figure stepped out.
Due to Leah's position at the entrance and being out of the person's direct line of sight, the person who came out didn't notice her.
But Leah saw the person's face, which looked so familiar to her.
She parted her lips and cautiously called out. "Maurie?"
The tall figure hesitated momentarily before stopping in his tracks.
Upon seeing this, Leah was sure that the man in front of her was her high school classmate, who was none other than Maurie Cooper.
"Maurie, wait." She called out, about to approach him.
But before she could take another step, a photographer's assistant who had followed Maurie out
overheard her. The assistant gaveet
Leah a disdainful look and
sarcastically said, "You think he'll just stop because you called out? Who do you think you are? Know your place."
When the photographer's assistant
finished speaking, Maurie swiftlynet
turned around. His enchanting striking eyes sparkled brilliantly.
The photographer's assistant met Maurie's captivating gaze and saw him walking toward her. Her cheeks flushed, and she stammered "Maurie. What are you..."
The photographer's assistant's heart raced uncontrollably, clearly smitten by him, and even her gaze became dazed.
Yet, just as Maurie was about to reach her, he didn't stop. Instead, he walked right past her, heading straight for Leah.
