The Ceo’s Convict Wife

Chapter 1425

Hanna said firmly, “So, I won’t kiss you again, or do anything more intimate than holding hands and hugging.”

Listened to Hanna, Calvin, frowned and felt upset. He said, “But didn’t you tell me that you were happy to do those things?”

Hanna said, “Yes, but it’s unfair. I would never like being treated like that by someone I don’t love.”

Calvin said, “But I don’t mind it.”

“But I do mind!” Hanna’s eyes widened and she looked up at Calvin’s beautiful eyes. “When I am intimate with someone, I want him to enjoy it because he is in love with me. People want to be closer to one another because of love, right? If the love is unrequited, this kind of intimacy is actually also a burden.”

Calvin pursed his thin lips slightly and stared at Hanna. Her eyes were clear and innocent, which made him feel ashamed.

Calvin thought, “What do I really feel about being intimate with her? Is it / only because she is my girlfriend?”

Then Calvin said indifferently, “Whatever. If you think it is unnecessary, it’s fine.”

“It’s not unnecessary. It’s just I want it to happen only when you’re in love with me… Well, we can be more intimate when…” Hanna said, flushing, “Of course, I will try my best to make you fall in love with me!”

Hanna seemed determined with an indefatigable spirit. Calvin was suddenly obsessed with the brightness of her eyes and he couldn’t look away.

After a while, Calvin slowly said, “Then, Hanna, hurry up and make me fall in love with you.”

At that moment, Calvin wanted it to happen more than everything else.

After talking with Calvin, Hanna felt much more relaxed.

Hanna thought, “It is probably not the best thing to do to rush into more intimacy. Maybe it would be better if things just happen naturally.”

Thinking that Calvin would be with her to the charity gala with her,

Hanna felt relieved. At least she would not feel worried or scared if she did something embarrassing.

Hanna felt like she was protected by an iron bastion. Calvin was that bastion.

The night of the charity gala, Calvin’s driver picked Hanna up and drove to the salon to get her hair done. And Calvin had selected a dress for her. © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

The salesman said to Hanna respectfully, “The dress and the jewelry are selected by Mr. Gunner. If you don’t like them, Ms. Zimmerman, you can choose a new dress or a new set of jewelry.”

Hanna looked at the dress. Calvin selected a light blue evening dress and a set of jewelry made of sapphires and diamonds which was a perfect match.

The dress and the set of jewelry were obviously expensive so Hanna thought it was too much.

Hanna couldn’t help biting her lips.

The salesman said, “Is there anything wrong, Ms. Zimmerman? Do yo not like them?”

Hanna said, “Yes, they’re pretty.”

The salesman smiled, “How about you try it on and get your makeup hair done now, Ms. Zimmerman?”

Hanna answered, “Sure. Thanks.” She walked into the changing room a put on that dress with the help of the salon’s staff.

The dress fit her very well and Hanna looked noble and elegant in it.

The makeup artist began to put on Hanna’s makeup for her. She chatted with the makeup artist and learned that the dress and the jewelry were both from a well-known foreign designer and there was only one set of them in the world.

The makeup artist smiled in a somewhat obsequious way, “When people first saw this set of dress and jewelry in the fashion show, they gave it a lot of praises and positive comments. A lot of people offered to buy it. I didn’t know it was Calvin who bought it. He gave it to you. He must care about you very much.”

Hanna smiled back politely. She thought, “They have no idea about the truth.”

But Hanna had to admit that even though Calvin didn’t love her, he respected her as he should do to his girlfriend. So people who didn’t know the truth would think that he was in deep love with her.

After Hanna’s makeup and hair were done, Hanna looked at herself in the mirror and wondered whether she had been reborn. Of course, her face didn’t change, but she looked much more elegant. The makeup was flattering and she looked like she was born into a noble family.

The makeup artist said, “Let me help you with the jewelry.”

Hanna said, “Thanks a lot.”

When the makeup artist was about to pick up the sapphire necklace in the box, someone pushed open the door of the dressing room and several people came in.

Someone said, “It’s really you, Hanna Zimmerman.”

Hanna recognized this person immediately. She was Queena Stapletor the daughter of the boss of the Stapleton Group, who was said to be Calvin’s childhood sweetheart.

Hanna had seen Queena once before at a party.

Hanna asked, “Ms. Stapleton, how can I help you?”

Queena looked at the dress Hanna was wearing up and down. “I don need your help. I just heard that Calvin had arranged some service for you here so I thought I should come by and say hi.” She caught a glim of the sapphire jewelry on the table beside and her eyes flashed a little with envy.

Queena liked this set of dress and jewelry when she first saw it. She wanted to buy it but someone beat her to it.

When Queena saw Hanna in it, she was surprised.

Queena thought, “So, did Calvin buy it for Hanna?” Queena said, “Are you going to the charity gala tonight?”

Hanna said, “Yes, that’s it.”

Queena said, “I guess you haven’t been to an event like before. After all, you were not born into a rich family. If you say any awkward words or do any awkward things tonight, Calvin will also be embarrassed. So, maybe you should not go there.”

Hanna smiled at Queena, “I’ve already made an appointment with Calvin. If I do something wrong, I think Calvin will tell me. So, don’t worry, Ms. Stapleton.”

Queena was annoyed by Hanna’s ironic words. Her mood obviously darkened.

People who came in with Queena said, “Is this Calvin’s girlfriend?”

Queena introduced Hanna to them disparagingly, “Yes, and she is a comic artist. What a surprise!”
