Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 103

Charles texted, [Are you asleep?]

Naomi looked at the time and noted that it was 9:37 p.m.; time sure did pass quickly.

She replied to Charles.

Charles had just reached home after a busy day. He had been in contact with her almost every day. He knew that she was busy, so she could not see him in person.

That was fine. If she could not come to him, he would go to her. Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.

He would send her medicine or other things she could need. He always had a way to get closer to her.

As long as he wanted to.

He mostly visited her at night as she was not home during the day. She was out and about with Chandler and would return home only after dinner.

It was late into the night. He could only chat with her for a while before having to leave. Even so, he was more than happy to do that.

Naomi replied, [Not yet.]

Charles smiled when he saw her message.

[Charles: Are you free to chat now?]

Naomi looked at his message. She knew what he was thinking. She tapped into her contacts and called him straight away.

All this while, Charles has been asking her daily about the condition of her hands. He would send her medication from time to time, afraid that her hand would scar.

She would come home late every time. In turn, Charles would come around only for a while before leaving as he did not want her to head to bed too late.

This was quite troublesome for him.

The trip back and forth would take two hours for him. He would only see her for a few minutes before leaving. Naomi understood him well.

She would remember all the kind things Charles did for her.

Charles‘ face lit up as he saw her call. He answered the call while placing his key in the bowl by the side of the door.

He entered his house. “Have you reached home yet?”

His voice was tender. It gave one a huge sense of security.

Naomi smiled. “No, I’m still outside.”

Charles went over to the kitchen counter, about to pour himself some water. When he heard what she said, he furrowed his brow. “Are you outside?”

hour as she was typically in bed at this hour.

“Hmm. Something came up.”

Charles placed the jug down and looked outside at the night sky. He went to grab his car keys and headed out. “Where are you? What time are you coming home? I’ll take you home.” Naomi heard Charles picking up the keys. She replied with a smile, “No need. I’ll be back soon.”

Naomi was an honest person. She would never say anything that was a lie, which was why even though she knew Charles would come to get her after her reply, she was still not planning on lying to him.

Charles stopped in his tracks. He looked concerned. “How are you heading home? Is there someone picking you up?”

Naomi recalled her call with Scott and hearing him flipping through pages. He must have a chauffeur with him.

The chauffeur would most probably send her home too. If not, she could also hail a taxi. It would not matter.

Thus, Naomi replied, “Yes.”

Charles clutched his keys tighter in his palms.

“It’s late, and you’re out alone. I’m a little worried.” Indeed, Charles was a little worried. Anxious, even,

Naomi knew this, but she could not trouble him to fetch her so late at night. He had been working very hard every day, especially during this time when he would visit her at night.

“It’s fine. I’ll let you know when I’m home. Is that okay?” Naomi said gently. Her last three words were filled with indescribable closeness and understanding they had between each

other.

Charles‘ heart skipped a beat before it raced at an alarming pace.

She asked if it was ‘okay‘. That sounded like they were a couple.

She was concerned for him. She cared for him. She understood his worry.

His body suddenly felt hot, and his grip on his phone instinctively tightened.
