Chapter 736 Second Condition
Chapter 736 Second Condition
Judy stubbed the cigarette after taking a few drags, crossed her arms, and met Tobias' indifferent gaze. “Aren't you even a little bit curious about what I said? I'm talking about your girlfriend here. Any normal person would've been curious.”
Tobias replied, “Curiosity is something I lack. You'll say it anyway even if I don't ask.”
Judy's temper sparked. “My second condition is for you to break up with Skylar. I want you to dump her.”
Tobias gave her a placid look. “Continue.”
Rage overwhelmed Judy. Her childhood friend was still lying on the hospital bed from acid splashing across her face because of Skylar. What was the point even if she lived through the ordeal? The most important thing for a woman is her face. Her face was disfigured, and she was blind in one eye.
Judy told him everything about the tragedy that befell her friend.
Leah had ended up with such a dreadful fate because Skylar had sent Charles intimate photos of him with Leah to threaten him.
Charles had saved the photos, and Leah's boyfriend had accidentally seen them.
After some time, the corners of Tobias' mouth slowly curled into a dry smile. “I didn't know Skylar did something like that, but I can't fulfill your request. Only she can make the call to break up with me. I won't break up with her.”
“I thought Mr. Ford of Ford Group was someone who never went back on his words. I only have two requests. You completed the first one without a second thought, so the second one shouldn't be hard for you. After all, you have so many women throwing themselves at you. Breaking up with one
of them shouldn't be much of a challenge. I just want to avenge my friend. Her life has already been ruined, and Skylar didn't even apologize and is still living gloriously. What right does she have to live a nice life while my friend is living a life of misery?” Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
Tobias was rendered speechless.
Judy was much more naive than he thought. If it was anybody else, they would've jumped with joy and bowed with gratitude upon hearing his promise to fulfill two of their requests. Any other person in her shoes would have thought long and hard about those requests for fear they couldn't gain any personal benefits.
Her first request was easy enough, but he couldn't do anything about her second request.
Judy knew her second request was non-negotiable from his firm attitude.
She shot to her feet and propped herself on his desk. The veins running across her temples bulged at the force her arms exerted.
She had wanted to have a calm discussion with Tobias, but the thoughts of Leah's distorted face and melted right hand agitated her.
Since her plan had gone up in smokes, she said straightforwardly, “Fine. Since you won't help me, I'll confront Skylar about her intention and see if she can still live a perfect life free of guilt.”
Tobias' voice dropped a few octaves as he warned, “Leave Skylar alone. Don't take my generosity as a reason for you to act recklessly. Stay away from her.”
Judy had never thought Tobias would be so protective of someone. Perhaps she was insignificant to him, as he didn't even take her requests seriously.
