Let her go
Just as she was about to enter the bathroom, she bumped into someone unexpectedly.
“You asshole, watch where you are going to” A voice yelled and Hannah raised her head to see who it was and to her surprise, she saw Grandma Elizabeth.
“What are you doing here?” Elizabeth asked surprised to see Hannah.
“I should be asking you that!” Hannah said and Elizabeth scoffed.
“He brought you with him. That’s weird and unlike him” Elizabeth said as she stared at her from her head to her toe.
“Enjoy the party,” she said with a devilish smirk on her face and walk past Hannah. Hannah stared at her suspiciously, she didn’t know why but she felt she was up to something.
She quickly shook off the thought and walked inside the restroom. When she was done, she walked out of the restroom and decided to locate where the party was being hosted, when she suddenly heard two men whispering among themselves.
She had wanted to walk past them but then she suddenly heard them mention Brandon’s name and his company.
She then decided to eavesdrop.
“You sure about that? jefe said BRC. co has been trying to partner with him for a long time now…. He’s going to say yes to him…. I wonder why” the other man said
“Brandon has something he needs. Partnering with him is gonna be a step to getting it” the other man said and suddenly he heard his phone ring.
“It’s Jefe, let’s go,” the other man said Hannah quickly hid behind a door and the two men walked past them.
Hannah wondered what Donald was planning, deep down she knows it was something bad. She wondered what was it he needs that Brandon has.
She felt she needed to tell Brandon about it but on second thought, she felt he wouldn’t believe her, so she needed to do some digging about Donald and find out what he wants from Brandon.
She then walked to the party, she scrutinized the whole area searching for Brandon but he was nowhere to be found.
She kind of felt worried but then she quickly shook off the thought.
It was none of her concerns and besides Brandon is a grown man and could take care of himself, she thought as she sat on a long empty couch, staring at people who were drinking and talking while music was playing.
Just then she heard Mr. Donald’s voice on a microphone and everyone turned in his direction. He was gonna give a speech.
“As you all know, I held this party for my lovely daughter as she clocks 16. So I’m wishing her a happy birthday…. Come on stage honey” Mr. Donald said and a little girl who was putting on a red gown and black heels walked on stage with a small smile on her face.
The whole crowd clapped for her.
“She’s so beautiful” Hannah heard people whispering from behind. She stared at the little girl, truth be told she was looking so beautiful and elegant.
Hannah sighed as Mr. Donald continued his speech, she brought out her phone when she heard it vibrate, it was a text message from a strange number saying hello.
She stared at the message, wondering who sent it, and just then someone came and sat beside her.
She turned and to her surprise, she saw Jeff sitting close to her with a smile on his face. She scoffed. She knew at once that he sent the message.
She put her phone back in her bag and turned to him.
“What do you want Jeffery Mikealson?” Hannah said coldly and the looks on Jeff’s face changed immediately. This was the first time since she knew Hannah that she called him by his full name, and he didn’t know, he found it weird.
She sounded so cold while she called his name and for some reason, he felt a cold shiver run down his spine. He quickly composed himself.
“We need to talk to Hannah,” Jeff said calmly and Hannah scoffed. She raised her eyebrows and turned to him. Staring straight into his eyes, she smiled at Jeff with nothing but pure hatred in her eyes.
“There’s nothing to talk about Jeffery Mikealson. Stay away from me” Hannah said and Jeff rolled his eyes.
“Can you stop calling me by my full name? You can just call me Jeff. Common Hannah, stop acting difficult, I know you still love me, just give me another chance, give us another chance.
I know I made a mistake in the past and now I’m ready to make everything right. I did everything you asked, I even divorced Rhoda and threw her out of the house. What else do you want me to do, just to show I’m sorry” Jeff said and Hannah turned to him with no expression on her face.
“Are you done talking? Or is there anything else you would love to add to the long speech you just made” She paused as she stared at Jeff whose face had turned sour.
She clicked her tongue “You’ve run out of words right? When you are done ranting these nonsense words, you can leave this chair and let someone important sit on it” Hannah said as she carried her bag and stood up, then walked outside the party to the car.
Jeff felt so insulted, he’s never felt so insulted in his entire life and Hannah had just walked out of him. No one, not even his mother had dared walk out on him because they knew what he was capable of.
He wasn’t just gonna let it slide, he’s been going so calm with Hannah but she seems very hard. This time he was gonna go hard on her and make sure she agreed to marry him again.
He stood up from the chair and walked out of the party angrily. He scrutinized the whole area searching for Hannah and just then he saw Hannah standing beside a black car.
He walked towards her angrily, and unexpectedly, he held her neck and pinned her to the car.
“Let go of me” Hannah struggled to remove his hands from her neck.
“I did all you asked me to do and now you gonna do all I want…. It’s either you do it willingly or by force Hannah Rodriguez because you are mine and mine alone” Jeff said angrily and his grip tightens around her neck.
“I’d rather be dead than be with someone like you again, bastard!! Now, let go of me!!” Hannah managed to voice out and Jeff scoffed.
And suddenly a voice spoke from behind. It was no other person but Brandon.
“You heard the woman, Let her go!!” Brandon spoke in a calm tone but yet the tone was so cold and deadly.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
