Chapter 105 Wearing The Same Dress
What nonsense this guy spouted!
“Thank you,” replied Ranita coolly while catching sight of Shannon approaching wearing an identical dress! She couldn’t believe it – they were both wearing exactly same thing!
The only difference being that due to work requirements she had altered hers slightly whereas Shannon’s appeared original – long trailing hem swaying gracefully when walking, making it look like blue butterfly wings fluttering about gracefully behind its wearer.
Shannon also had fair skin and wore sparkling diamond necklace around neck, making herself look even more glamorous than ever before!
“Brendon!” Shannon glanced at Ranita and immediately sweetly linked arms with Brendon, half-leaning against him. She then greeted Ranita, “Hey Ranita! What a coincidence! I didn’t expect us to have the same idea today!”
Ranita nodded her head but didn’t respond.
Brendon was the center of attention, especially with Ranita matching Shannon’s outfit. Many people’s eyes were drawn to them. However, more people were focused on Ranita; she looked stunning in her blue velvet dress but compared to Shannon next to her, it seemed like she was wearing a knockoff version.
It made people think less of her for wearing such an important event in a fake dress.
“Brendon, who do you think looks better in this dress? Me or Ranita?” Shannon pouted and paused before continuing playfully, “My aunt told me that there are only two dresses like this one back home – one that she bought for me and another one that is rumored to be in Steland.”
The implication was clear: Ranita’s dress was fake.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Brendon frowned and changed the subject, “Let’s go inside now! If there’s anything you want me to buy later on, just write it down.”
Although she didn’t get the answer she wanted, just hearing Brendon say those words would make anyone jealous including Ranita.
Ranita didn’t dwell on it too much as she saw Chris arrive; so she found an excuse to follow him into the bathroom, “Mr. Webster!”
“Ranita!”
“There is something I want you to help me with.” She handed Chris tonight’s auction list, “Can you bid on item number twelve for me? I’ll transfer money over once we’re done.”
Item number twelve was a 500, 000 dollar sapphire necklace.
Chris agreed without asking any questions, “No problem!” He paused before adding, “You look beautiful tonight!”
“Thank you…” Before she finished what she had planned on saying earlier, Holly interrupted them rudely, “Chris… that dress looks like a knockoff brand; don’t be fooled by her.”
Holly wore a pink skirt with special bubble sleeves design; its hem narrowed down like petals of flower which complimented her youthful energy well, but unfortunately not so much when opening up her mouth unnecessarily rude comments about others’ clothing choices.
“Holly, how do you know if this is fake or not? Don’t comment if you don’t know what you’re talking about.” Chris thought Holly’s behavior lacked manners. Even though he only said something normal, Holly heard his words differently: as if he were defending and pitying Rantia at the same time which made Holly extremely jealous inside.
“Chris, didn’t you hear what Shannon said earlier? There are only two of these high-end dresses, one on Shannon and the other in Steland! Shannon wouldn’t wear a fake, so it must be Ranita’s dress that’s fake!”
Holly analyzed the situation and it seemed to make sense.
Chris furrowed his brows. “But how do you know that the dress in Steland isn’t the one Ranita’s wearing?”
That was impossible! Holly almost scoffed at the idea. She heard that a wealthy young lady had already ordered the dress from Steland. What did it have to do with Ranita?
